I've been getting calls from this number since March. Since I don't know the number, I don't answer the calls. They never leave me a message.

This number is making me nuts. I finally called it back today and it is a middle eastern accent, then goes to english. I called bell south, they said next time it calls, hang up the phone and do *60 as soon as the call ends. This numbers calls me a few times a days. I hope someone figures out! :)

Showed up as a out-of-country long distance charge. What we remember was the phone rang then continues to ring after answered, then they answered like we had called them.

Got the call.... they didn't pronounce my name right, so I hung up.  I get the feeling that The Brick sold me out!

They JUST called me as well and I just googled this number and was very surprised to see this thread about it.  I have never picked up, but realized today that they have been calling ALL THE TIME, so I finally am trying to do something about it.  I will try some of the advice given and let you know

I get several of these calls a week, and nobody ever talks. They just hang up ! I wrote to them and asked to be removed from the calling list or I would call the fcc and file a complaint. I used the address posted on this site. I was told by someone that if you hit the pound key repeatedly when telemarketers or automated calls come in, this will screw up thier equipment and remove your number from they're data base. Gona try it. Lota good the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST DOES HUH ?????

Been getting calls from this number for months, but they never left a message and I never answered it.  Tried 'Andree' idea and called them (416-581-1236), got to the receptionist (press 0) and asked her to take me off the list.  She took down my number and said the list was updated every morning between 9am and 10am.  She said it would be taken off the next day.  We will see if it works!

I keep getting a call from this # at the same time every second day. I just ignor it. I wish there was a way of telling them to bug off but like the rest of you no answer or some lanquage I dont understand.

it was before my free time (if they had called after 6 i would have answered just to satisfy curiosity) and i recognized it as Ontario and know that anyone there i know doesn't have my cell so ignored it. Later i googled it and now understand it's some sort of telemarketing, which is kinda what i figured but i am still disappointed to learn my cell is now getting telemarketing calls. heres hoping it isn't just the beginning...

Amex "courtesy call", my wife answered they wouldn't talk to her, I called amex and complained to them they claimed 6 weeks to remove my name/number from their solicitation lists.
then they call back 2 days later...wife told them don't ever call back here again... bad foreign accent

I also receive tons of calls from this number, 581-1076, just this morning actually.  I mostly ignore it, but they always call in the morning when I'm trying to sleep, so I eventually get so ticked off that I pick up the phone to yell at them and there's no one there.  One morning, I think they called me 7 times in 2 hours.  Irritating!

About 30 secs after my post I received another call, so I called Optima and told the operator my problem and she politely told me she would add me to the Do not call list.  Hopefully this solves my problem.

Get calls from this number about once a day. My call display unit has the option to block calls from any number so I have blocked theirs. Now they get a message saying that "The party you have reached does not wish to accept calls from your number".

I have been getting calls too, but as I did not recognize the number I did not answer. Today I finally decided to google it, and got through to this thread. Glad I have not picked up the phone.

This has to be the most annoying ploy for any company to use.  Persistent pestering of potential clients - yeah, that's gonna work.

I get their number on my call display on a daily basis, around 2 pm.  Made the mistake of answering once or twice, but hung up when there was a delay in responding - a classic indication that they are calling multiple numbers and talking to the first one that picks up.  Pray it isn't you... lol.

I'm thinking about getting a used telemarketing system and having it dial their freakin' number every fifteen minutes until they cancel the 581-1076 number  :)  Won't change a thing, really, but they will know how we feel.

Also getting called every evening from this number. Have answered it at least 3 times and there is no one there. I considered calling the number listed in earlier threads but concerned that calling the number could be part of the scam. I emailed them from their website which hasnt been updated since it was opened in May 2005 so I doubt that will make a difference. Would love to hear back from others that have called or emailed to see if it worked.
