I keep getting this number calling me but no one answers and when I try to call back, I get an automated answering machine.

I really hate it when this number calls me...I am on a do not call list - what do they not understand about this

They say they are an air duct cleaning service. They call every other day and I have become increasingly belligerent and rude in telling them to remove me from their list for the umpteenth time. I've been on the do not call list for over a year!

I am so sick of these people.All they do is get us pissed off.They certainly don't get any business.

NDNCL is not working for these people ..... maybe report them to the business bureau, I would but all im getting is dead air

I keep on getting a call from this number and whenever I answer the call there is a robot womanly voice that says goodbye, and then hangs up! it calls like every 2 days or so, very strange.

They called my number this morning but left no message ...416-700-5678 "Unknown Name".

Ditto to what AJ experienced.  First call from this outfit.  Won't pick up.  Block list is full with other offending numbers. ... Such a drag, these commercial calls!

Received a call from this number claiming it was a Air Duct Cleaning Company.  Person on the phone hung up on me the second I said I was not interested.  Tried calling back and received an automated message that the mail box was full.

I just got yet another call from 416-700-5678, air vent cleaning.  I get the call once a month even though I don't live in Toronto area.  I told them to take my number off their list as I'm on the do not call list.  They said they checked and my number isn't on the list.  I said [***] you're a liar and he told me I was full of Bull and to f&*k off then hung up.

I am fedup of these people calling, they call almost weekly, you tell them to stop calling and to take the number off their list and they dont listen.  I have complained to Bell, i dont know why we are on this pathetic National Do Not Call List, they call even more now

I've submitted a complaint through the CRTC National Do Not Call List service.  Don't know what will come of it but I've had enough of this over the past several weeks.  Fingers crossed....

This guy called back a few minutes later and said he would keeping calling every 2 minutes until I signed up for their services.

The Canadian National "Do Not call" list is essentially toothless, as it does not provide any REAL penalties (i.e. 20+ years in jail with no early release) for the telephone scammers who, on an individual basis, may waste a few seconds or a minute of the lives of many individuals but who, on a cumulative basis, waste entire lives with their calls. We Canadians are also kept somewhat in the dark as to what investigative powers are available (and to what agencies) to ferret out such scammers. Ditto with email spammers/scammers. It does not help any that this list is administered and maintained by Bell Canada, which has a vested financial interest in telephone usage.

Until such time as Canadians bombard their MPs with demands for tough legislation (with REAL penalties) for companies who do things like mask/spoof their caller ID, and/or whose mailboxes are perpetually full whenever you try to get your number removed, etc., there will be no change from the current mess we are in when it comes to being bugged on our own time and with our own equipment by companies who push the cost of their marketing down onto us.

If this number really does call to promote air duct cleaning, the only other option you have at this point is to call them back from another number and/or with your number blocked, arrange fictional dates/times for a duct cleaning and completely waste their time with fake appointments with fake names at fake addresses in industrial areas. That is the only way such scammers will be discouraged. (Not that I am recommending that you waste your time with that, you understand!) But until then, they will laugh and laugh, while they continue to call and call...

These "Duct Cleaners" have been calling me every couple of days for several weeks. I started out very calm and polite. Told them my ducts were just cleaned - they hung up. Told them Asked to be taken off of their call list - they hung up. I'm sure the stories are all the same. Decided to tell them that I am busy at the moment but would like to call them back to discuss - asking them for a company name and phone number - which of course they won't give... they would prefer to call back. They told me the name of the company is "Duct Cleaning Company". haha. Now they swear at me. Good grief.

The hang ups were annoying... the filthy language unacceptable. Great business model.
