- RorySaid I won something that I filled out in an airport. Please. Obvious crap. They told me to get to someplace that would take a while to get to, and i would have to watch a presentation, then i could collect my prize. Obviously there was some detail I wasnt told, no one gives this stuff away for free. I humored them for a bit, got tired and hung up.

- lika| 1 replyCalled me once. The connection was very poor but I managed to hear that I won something and should go and pick up my prize package. I don't remember filling out any forms anywhere. After I asked where to go, there was no certain answer. I told the guy I could not hear him well and he told me he would call...from another country. He did in 15 minutes but from the same phone number. After I told him I could not hear him again and I was not goinng to talk to him, the reply was: "God bless you". I hang up. My phone listed the calls from the same number 6 more times during that day. I never answered again.
- Lynn replies to likaI just got a call that I am the winner of one of three prizes and that I had to go to their "presentation ceremony" to recieve the gift at a Etobicoke or their Richmond Hill location. They said it was a spousal prize and that I needed to come with my spouse or boyfriend.
- ekayseei just got the same call as the others and was told i have only a few days left to collect my one of three guaranteed prizes, either a truck, plasmatv(rca) or a trip. I have to go and draw the prize myself in Etobicoke.aren't we lucky.

- jens| 1 replySame idea with me. Just got the call ... 3 prizes etc. Started asking some personal info and I told him I'd have to call him back. Obviously a hoax with some unfortunate angle intended
- SherryI got called twice today from the same person. The first time I asked that all important question - Did I win something or a chance to win something? - When the guy told me that I would have to come to a presentation to claim my prize, I knew that scam. I told him that IF I had won something send it, you have my address otherwise don't bother. He called again less than 4 minutes later and then must have realized his mistake so the duffus hung up. I know the timeshare/travel sales company that pulls this stunt. They are call Geo travel. Their head office is on Consumer's Drive in Toronto. I don't know how often I have asked to be removed from their call list.
You may have been in a restaurant, at a mall, airport... and filled in this ballot for a draw for a Hummer. This is how they snag your contact information. They have never given a hummer away yet. All they are doing is gathering your contact information, and then waiting just long enough for you to forget you ever filled anything out to call you.- Caller: Geo travel

better yet.....WHO WANTS TO WORK AT THESE COMPANIES - JLMy story is very similar to a phone call made by the number 202-300-4914 and reported as scam in this site. A man with a heavy Indian accent quoted all my information like my mailing address and phone number. He told me I won 1 of 5 prizes... from a 60" Plasma HD TV, to $1000.00 cash in CAD, and 3 choices of trips with everything included. He transferred me to his senior manager who also had an accent but spoke better English. He said I had filled out a coupon in a store back on December 2007 and I won of the prizes. The "manager" gave me a number for me to claim the prize. He told me that I had to go to Woodbridge (216 Crislea Rd., 2nd floor, Suite 202 Woodbridge, ON, L4L 8S5). The next day (the day I was supposed to go to the appointment) I received another phone call from a woman, representing the same Gift Center, who identified herself by her last name "Fernandez" but she could not speak spanish. She said she was not allowed to speak spanish in the office. The ceremony to receive the gift included some lunch (roast beef or chicken) and there were also another requirements: no children, pets or guests were allowed; going with my partner and having a family income above 50K. I was supposed to fill out a form once arrived to that place. I never went there and I found this place reassuring me about my suspicions.

- annoyedcaller said i won one of 5 prizes, flat screen tv, 1000 cash, 1 wk resort, trip or cruise. i was 110% guarenteed one of these if i came to the gifting ceremony in woodbridge. told them i would check them out with the better business bureau. first he said the name was national grand centre. i called them back and confronted him "Paul Walker" about that not being listed and also when i typed in the phone number i found this webpage. he got defensive and said to try under TVS. I did a search and it wasn't list - big shocker.
looks like I'll have to buy my own tv- Caller: TVS
- notimportantThese people clearly found out about this site and are now coming on here and typing out fake comments about the call. This people are complete morons and clearly have no goal in life aside from getting by off cheating people. This [***] called my house many times and each time didn't catch the hint "not INTERESTED". They are clearly fake and DO NOT be sweayed by their prizes...honestly, nothing in this world is free...there is always a catch. AND THINK ABOUT IT!...when in the world would a company hold a draw MONTHS after the contest was held...they tell you that you filled out something way back in DECEMEBER...thats the only way they can get you to possibly consider "forgeting" filling out such a ballot. So overall...ignore the ABOVE feedback...clearly the company is typing is out (look at the poor grammer). ITS A HOAX!

- s replies to jensI just got a call from a guy asking if it was my last name resident. I told him he had the wrong number he repeated my info and told me I was a liar, he had it right. I told him again it was the wrong number and he called me a liar at which time I hung up on him.
- A_OliverSame ol', same ol'...... these guys never change their approach... got the same calls people listed here got. The only difference is that I told the indian guy right out of the bat "I won't give any personal information", he transferred to his manager and I told him: "nowadays with the amount of scams I don't give any personal information until you give me your number to return the call"...... got his number and never called him back :) SSSSWWWEEEETTTTTT!!!!!! My next try is to play a little bit more and get the guy to give me his credit card number ;)

- MelYesterday this number was in service, I called and spoke with George Morrison at ext 225. Called back this morning to cancel my "dinner reservation" after reading these posts and miraculously the number does not exist anymore!!!!! Who would have thought?????
The Company is called The Vacation Store. Luckily enough I have private investigators and lawyers in my family and I could have this information researched pretty quickly. Just a note to everyone who gets these calls, there is a National DO-NOT-CALL list that will be in effect by the federal government by September 30th. Look it up on the web and call the # to have your info removed from telemarketing databases. If they are caught calling you (as long as you are proactive in reporting them), they will be fined. Nothing would make me happier than to see a harrassing company such as this one go down in fines!!!!!!- Caller: The Vacation Store

- kashewSept 5 received a call similar to everyone else here. Very loud background noise like a mall, said his name was Alan Johnson but an accent that didn't fit, named company NGC something, said I'd filled in a ticket somewhere. I couldn't understand him very well, the connection was cut off just before I hung up.
- Caller: NGC....
- tiredI received offering prizes call from these guys few times already, and decided to called them back from the phone other then my home phone. message was “the phone# I dialed is not in service”. Then I tried to call the same # from my home and got through. Somehow they hack the line. I told them if they contact me again, I would report them to police. The response was: "We call from Pakistan... We know where you live!"
Isn't it a threat? I filed the report. I suggest you do the same.
Now I read other notes - I see same indian people, same 5 prizes, same address only in September 2008.- Caller: National Grand Center
