Answered call but no comment and did not identify themselves.  Must be telemarketers.

noticed several missed calls from this number on my caller id...number only, no text ID. Usually during   the day, during the week, but today got one on a Sunday at 4:30pm.

got a call from this number but no one there.  aarrgghh so annoying.

all the same deal. call during the day, between 9 am and 5 pm, usually the week, I pick up and no one responds, it just is silence before a "click"

if it's telemarketers, WTF do they want? I'm sensing something more sinister here

"Feed The Children" 416-844-2991.  Got a call from Feed The Children.  They wanted to know if I would donate $50.00 to help pay for shipping of medicines to children in Africa.

Same as all the rest. No response after answering and when I called back it was the recorded message with no identification.

Canvassing for donations for Canada Feed the Children. Phoned today Sunday at 11:40AM.

I got the call today at 11:25 and a lady spoke and said something about YMG and they are raising donations for a clean water supply in Africa.  I told them I'll donate when i Feel like donating and to the well knowned charities.

They called me Friday looking for money for the Arthritis Society.  They've tried me three times since then.  Professional canvasing.

I called the number back: the message said the "Information Line". Suspicious if you ask me. They keep things general, and never answer their inbound phone calls.

Sounds like fraud.

There people call here sooo often - finally I started to answer the call but nobody ever friggin picks up on their end. So,  I call and leave messages for them to take me off the list. They still call...they call on Sundays as well...is that not illegal? Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

416 844 2991 and sometimes a person actually says something. Always a good cause non-profit but they're all good cuases aren't they? We give a lot but we give to who we want not who calls the most.

They just called.  They asked for a family member.  I told them I would take a message.  They said they were a charity, and they would call back.  I told them to take us off their calling list. (Like they will!).  

I put them on our call blocking service.  

I never give to anything to tele-marketers.  They are all criminals in my mind.  Besides calling on Sunday is illegal I believe!

I only deal with well established charities (who have been audited and passed by the government as well run).

At least some of us got a company or answer [Canada Feed the Children,Arthritis Society] when this number called!I am part of the folks who get dead air when i pickup,or information line when i call back.

If it's charities,or their representative,don't they have to identify themselves?

Called Rogers because their Terms of Agreement section 14,16 "appear" to state you can't use their services in certain ways.Their Terms of Agreement's convoluted, their own employees don't comprehend it ironically? Thought "prank calling" people would be an issue,but not according to this customer service manager,Mathew.Roger's customer service manager said it's not an issue for people to prank call...


have any of you tried calling the "charities" who use this number to call us?

Today I got a call from this number asking for Geraldine.
It seems to me that this is a professional fundraising
agency working with outdated lists.

Yeah... they asked for my father 'Ian'. The man on the other end was fairly nice, and just said somthing like...

"Just tell him that Mark Johnson called on behalf of TVO".

This number (416-844-2991) has been calling relentlessly, sometimes several times a day. They said it was for Childhood Cancer. Is it normal that one phone number is linked with so many charities?

got the call this morning Sunday from 416-844-2991.  Did not answer as I looked up the number on the phone display and did not bother picking the received.  I knew it was a "pain in the butt" phone call like usual.  I am so sick of these annoying calls............Wait until September......They are going to be history when I register on the system to avoid these calls.........

Yeah, they just called me, asking me to sponsor the "world help organization" they asked for a donation of $100. Seriously, what the hell?
