Going to Get Em - 3 Aug 2007The c**ks**ers behind these calls have been using a number that hasn't had a fax machine attached to it for at least 6 years. Usually the calls come in in pairs near 9am (Eastern), with the second call showing "Unknown number".
When these come in, I hold the line as long as possible, slowing their system down. If you actually receive a spam fax from this number, direct your rage at the company that's advertising this way. Maybe sooner or later people will realize that this is bad way to try to get business!

IMB - 13 Sep 2008They are a co. that just picks up clients like Bell, rogers, TD bank,. Scotia.... Sobey's....you name it.... an then contacts Consumers to research your info...
mind you they already have your info from TD, rogers, scotia, Sobey's .... I think it's wrong to the chains to create and aloow personal info to be sent to a business like this... and CRTC has a bill that needs to be passed....
so meh....but just don't give any more info to them... and ask for their name.....

Toronto - 13 Dec 2007I just received a call from 416-861-0870. I answered and the person on the phone identified as an Industry Canada employee. He had all my personal and company information; name, completed address, telephones. He told me that everything is to update the Industry Canada’s files. He asked me for the fax number which was the only one he did not have. I gave it to him thinking is Industry Canada.
Minutes later I called back that number and I got this message: "The number you have reach is not in service"

Maestro - 19 Jan 2008I had a similar thing happen. My mom answered the phone, and the man asked for me, and what time id be home. Its been bothering me because she said it sounded like he knew me, so i called the number back and got the same not in service message. Perhaps this number allows only outbound calls? it is owned by bell canada. So perhaps if we all yell at bell enough they may release some sort of info on these a**holes.

Miri - 21 Sep 2008Got a call from these people and the number 905-625-3050 minutes before. There was no one on the line, just silence. I called both numbers back and they were not in service. It could be that someone has the voice recording of "This number is not in service" on their answer machine.
