Someone called from Toronto, Ontario, Canada according to the area code. I missed this call.
I am also receiving automated calls on my cell phone from 416 915 0658 once or twice a day, and this has been occurring since the end of Summer 2007. Any info on this number? I tried calling it back, but was on hold with no feeling that anyone would ever pick up. I believe it is a scam and might call phonebusters to report it.
The company is a collection agency that operates for different banks and organizations across Canada. They are calling you because they have your numbers listed as numbers of people owing money (that have probably changed their numbers to avoid paying).
They are the Canadian Bonded Credits Ltd. (CBCL) of the iQor corporation.
I highly suggest voicing your complaints to the company directly.
Also, keep a record of the number of calls you are receiving. According to the Collection Agencies act of Ontario, RRO 1990, Regulation 74: a collection agency may only call between the hours of 7am and 9pm Mon-Sat, 1pm-5pm Sunday. The collection agency may only contact the debtor three(3) times in a seven(7) day period for each creditor on file for that debtor.
Just phoned the number you provided and spoke to Debbie directly.
She informed that they were looking for about 20 different people at my number and that they were goin to put me on the global do not call list and guess what, none of them were me!
So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the end of the two years of hell these people have put me through!
someone called me from this number as well 4 times i tried to call back but it said network busy every time yet i can make other outgoing calls??whats going on here?
I too have recieved two consecutive calls from 416-915-0658. "Please Hold." "I am calling with an important message; hold one moment please." x4 and then the subject hangs up.
I had missed a few calls from this number, but today, they called again and I answered. I said hello a few times and there was no answer back. I could hear background noise and it sounded pretty busy. Eventually they hung up on their end.
I too got call today. I could hear background noise and people talking but no one responded to my voice. I just pressed about 80 random numbers on my phone keypad and hung up. I don;t owe these guys anything. I drove a chev. venture van and that windshield prevents reading of a transponder, have to call ahead to avoid charges - which I did. Had to dig really deep on web-site to find that little tidbit of info...
I'm in Montreal and got this call 3 minutes ago. I have Call ID displayed. Because I don't have relation with 416 area, I didn't answer it. Google the number and find here.
yo my mother had a call same s**t please hole important call i was standing there while she was talking cuz i kinda thought it be a scam. a girl picks up hello rogers then say were calling to see if u are gonna pay ur internet bill to bondage sumthing.asks for bank pin number then asks for address so i took the phone and hung it up......funny thing is we are hooked to telus and we send the bills to them our self, these guys arnt legit when u buy or purchase sumthing i think like ur credet purchases get bought and they have ur name so they ask that first if u are who they want u to be if they need the lady of the house and a guy picks up they will most likely hang up the phone. so do not tell them anything its dangerous.
we've had calls from this number about 3 times over the past few days. my husband answered it the other day (because he's dumb) and they said they were some credit agency looking for payment of over $900 on the Rogers billed he owes. He has NEVER had an account with rogers (cable, cell, nothing at all) so it would be impossible for him to owe them a dime. he was adament with the girl on the phone until she finally said "oh. ok then" and hung up. obvious scam to get bank/credit card info. if anyone *really* owed that much money, a collections agency wouldn't just say "ok" and hang up just because you stated you don't owe anything.
I recieved a call from that number and they hung up after I said hello like 3 times. I tried calling it back and got a recording saying that they are waiting for the next available representative to answer my call. So I just hung up! I'm guessing probably some type of scam artist.
