called my cell phone why cant they be stopped

I also got a call from (417) 204-5238 followed by a call from (928) 638-4527. I picked up the second call and got contacted by "Steve from Lifealert" trying to send me a life alert medical system paid for by a family member. I gave them fake information, they wouldn't give me a company name or anything then hung up on me when I tried to ask them why I keep getting many calls every day of the week.

Credit card Scammer. I added the number to my do not answer contact.

I continue to get them on our main line at work.  Just hang up on me.  Wish I could block them.  Gets really annoying.

I got a call from this number also... How do you add to "do not answer contact"?  I have blocked a bunch of these pests through my wireless carrier but am approaching full status there.. Thanks in advance,

This is a Credit Card Services scam operation. I was successful in getting the caller to call me back from a different number and thanks to some sleuthing was able to learn who is behind this scam.

I want this number to stop calling me

This number just called an hour ago from 970-264-8968 and now they are calling from this 417-204-5238. They call with an automated message stating they can lower my interest rate.

WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!

I did not answer. I NEVER answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. Anyone I want
to talk to I know and I know their phone numbers. I also never answer calls that say "Private Caller." Doctors' offices
are notorious for doing that. Ironic, because they ask you dozens of questions on their
forms every time you visit - but just ask them a question and you get zero.

received two calls today from 318-240-6523 on my landline and 417-204-5238 on my cell.
Both started with the same pitch to reduce my credit card interest.  I got through to "Horatio" on the first call.
He wanted a credit card number so he could reduce my interest rate.  I asked how come he is from "Member Services" and yet he doesn't know my credit card number.  He replied "get your credit card m'f'ker".  I asked him if those words are a usual part of the script he follows.  He then started berating me and my wife.  I guess I won't do business with them!

So I told him to wait a minute and then just left the phone down on the counter until he eventually hung up.

The second call on my cell came a few hours later.  I spoke with someone (didn't catch the name).  We went through the same conversation.  Eventually I told him he didn't have to scam people like this and that I would pray for him.  He hung up!  I guess I'll still pray for him after I block his number.

On my cell I have the numbers auto rejected. maybe they will get a clue

number keeps calling my cell phone.... when I answer, no one is there....   if I hit recall, I get a busy signal...
