Called.  Nothing but silence and then it sounded as if they pushed a key on the phone.  Nothing more.

They called claiming that Centurylink had new internet service available in our area and wanted to talk about switching our service provider. I told them to check back later then checked with Centurylink.  They confirmed that internet IS NOT availoable in our area. Please be careful with this company. Not sure what they are up to.

Called and left a message saying "BOOM! Century link rules!  You got Bombed!"  Then hung up.  No idea what this means.

no message...dead silence...SCI on the caller ID

Answered their call, they said "hello" then asked "who's this?" and then hung up on me, jerks.

I own a gym - answered the line with our standard gym greeting and no one responded... could hear voices in the background, sounded like a call center - then they hung up.

Called the number back and they said "Thank you for calling CenturyLink, how can I help you?"
I said: "I'm just returning a call I got from this number, I answered and the caller hung up."
He said: "Oh, well thank you for calling CenturyLink. We were just calling to notify you that we're expanding our network to cover your area."
He didn't know who I was or where I was calling from and said they recently expanded to my area... sounds suspect to me!
I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

centurylink cold call from telemarketing call center. Noise in background so loud it was difficult to hear. did not know name of person they wanted to tell of ther new phone and internet rates. Not gonna happen.

Rang, left no message.  I don't answer calls from numbers I'm not familiar with.

Recd call 12/19/14 from Greg at this 417-720-2806 number--asked if I could call back--I was busy at the time he called.  I had already been in conversation with Century Link a couple of days earlier so I assumed his Century Link connection was valid----he hasn't followed up with contact info or anything else--nor do I have service nor has anyone called to schedule service--not sure if this is legit or not--but at this point, it doesn't seem to pass the smell test---- following my conversation with " Greg" I was asked to stay on line and verify that I had authorized him exclusively to act on my behalf with Century Link..........I'm, as I write this on the phone with Century Link at their advertised service phone #-----------not sure if I've been scammed or ????????????????

Called and could hear voiced and sounds in back ground. Then hung up.

Left me a voicemail that was about 30 seconds of background noise and then someone said (sang, actually)  "Remember when you were young" and then hung up.

The Called ID for this call says "Sunrise Community."  So CenturyLink is now in the retirement home/hospice business???

Nothing but a scam.  Next, CenturyLink will lower itself to debt collecting.

Got a call from this number and did not lift receiver.  Glad I didn't

I did not pick up.  No message was left.  I called the #.
Machine response:  Extension 2054 is not available.
I expect the telemarketer was on break.

And they still can't find REAL jobs!!!!

Caller identified himself as a CentruyLink Business representative and was letting me know that FIBER is expanding to my location. He said I can get fiber internet and phone for less than $80/month. He did have my correct name and address. I said I'd call back after I looked into what I was currently paying the cable company. Her reminded me that people don't go into business to save money, but rather to make money. This could've been a scam as their website still shows that fiber is in fact not available in my area. I'm calling the official CenturyLink number now to follow up.

Caller ID said MISSOURI. Why would Century Link hide their ID? Emily said she was with Century Link Business Class. They’ve extend their fiber optic network … hung up and BLOCKED.

CAll went to Voicemail.  Didn't leave a message; static noise in the background & the hung up

Supposed Century Link solicitation hiding under the guise of "Sunrise Communities." What does that say about the quality of Century Link services? LoL!
