It says invaild area code when I look it up, yet they call at all hours of the day and night!

I get calls from this number lately.  If I pick up it starts ringing like I called them then someone answers and just says hello repeatedly.

I received a cal from this number 4217818274 and it is someone who is unable to speak claer english but keeps talking when you do not want the offer and is very rude too.

Received a call from this number and when I answered, the line disconnected.  Odd that I had just received a call from 732.231.2088 just moments before about an auto loan - Reported this number as well.

Keep getting calls from this number.  I ignore weird area codes I dont know. My Mother very ill and lives out of town, so I come running when phone rings. Annoying!!!!!!!!!!p

This person called me twice.  When I answered then it began ringing on the other end.  A person who did not speak much English was on the other end.  It was very hard to understand what he was saying -- something about me filling out a loan application on line -- he either wanted a loan or wanted to "give" me a short-term loan.
How can we stop solicitors from calling on cell phones?

Asked me for bank information in order to process a cash advance. Wow that is really weak and annoying.

Just got a call from this number.  Happened last year also.  Its a scam trying to get money.

Idiot called and then it rang to another phone.  He spoke very bad English and wanted to let me know I was approved for a loan. I asked repeatedly where he got my number from and he hung up.

i got a call from these people.They told me i was approved.told me to go to a web site in twenty mins. when i went could not access account so i called and cancled my bank card.AND REPORTED THEM ALSO.

Just got a call from this same Number (421-781-8274) No message.  I looked around and saw that a lot of people have been getting calls from this number as well as this area code.  Seems to be a low-end scam? Some people say its a Ohio area code but I have found a area code with a match for Slovakia.  Which would make since when some people have said the person on the other end speaks very bad english. If its really from out of the country I don't know of a way to block them for certain. I just save the # as weirdo and don't give them a ringtone...

I just received a call from this number and the person on the other end who did not speak clear english and spoke very fast was telling me something about a loan or catalog credit card i was approved for.  He then proceeded to tell me all my personal information including my ss#, DOB and bank info, and my mothers maiden name as well... After I started questioning him why and how he has all that informaton, he hung up on me.  Now im sitting here pulling my hair out wondering and hoping to GOD nothing happens to my bank acccount and all my kids xmas money is stolen.  I contacted my bank of course its after hours but i left a message so hopefully something can be prevented from going bad.  I also contacted my phone company and am doing a "call trace" of course this costs me $20.00 but it goes directly to the police and my phone company for investigation so hopefully it will be worth it.  I have also tried looking up this number on everything from google to intellius and no such number can be found.  I think it must be a pre-paid calling card being used.  Another search through verizon came back landline USA location but nothing more.  As soon as I hear back from the police I will post the name and any information given to me on this site for all others to view and beware of.... Hope this doesnt happen to anyone else!

I received a call from 421-781-8274 yesterday. Spoke terrible english. He startedv saying he knew who I was and repeated my ss#, mothers maiden name n address. He then began asking if I would marry him! N asked how "sexy" I was! I told him to go to hell n hung up. I am very concered about my personal info now. He said he was from india. Don't kno what to do except call my bank n credit companies. He said I was approved for a loan n some other stuff. Can't stop worrying about this.

I recieved a call from this number. Didn't pick it up though cause I didn't recognize the area code. I researched it and I believe that its a caller from Slovakia trying to get money/personal information.

Received a call from this number; when I answered it rang as if I had called them.  Male was unable to speak clear English, and obvious sounds of boiler room tactics in background.  This call was about a payday type loan.  Just 30 minutes earlier, I received same type of call from 732-231-2088, with same background noise, same thick accent, but this was a female saying my home loan had been approved.  BEWARE  These are obviously scammers...don't let them get YOU!

Called me 3 times within 48 hours. I didn't answer the phone any of the times, however the one time they did leave a message. All it sounded like was me calling them with the phone ringing and than someone picking up and alot of background noise. It almost sounded like a really busy calling center. Than they hung up. It was really wierd. The part with it ringing like your calling them is exactly what other people are reporting about this number when they answer it. Some poeple are also reporting that they have their personal information such as SS#, DOB, address etc. this makes me suspicious becuase they don't really have a reason to call you if they already have all that information. All they need to do is go apply for a loan, or something. The fact that they are calling with all this information for some people confuses me and makes me believe that they are unable to do anything with this information and still want to you give up your account number or something.

recived several calls and I did not answer as not knowing the number a little reasurch and this is scammers. First thing you need to do is call the FCC the have the right to fine them and close them down, then file a clame withn the FBI as they are scamming across state lines, again they dave they ability to cross state lines for proscution. If we all file complants they will be put away if only to stop complants, remember each call is a new complant, requiring them to chase down each case, in other words more paperwork thuss reason to close the case or bad numbers of nonclosed cases. I I have received 3 calls over the last 2 1/2 hrs.  One from 421-781-8274 and the other two from 415-358-0679.  I didn't pick up any of the calls and they have not left a message.  We received a warning from our company that random calls are coming from overseas and they try to get you to call back, or stay on the line when they call and charge you very high rates.

Why wouldn't they want to scam us hard working innocent people? It is our  government's fault!. Our government pampers and protects all these illegals with our hard working tax money and these lazy illegal foreign idiots are cashing in on it. I am a foreigner and a hard working one at that and a tax paying individual. I had both 431-896-5290 and 421- 781-8274 call me. I don't pick them up unless l recognize the numbers.

The Gov has no legal jurisdiction over foreign countries so it's senseless to blame the Gov. Why don't you blame the phone companies that make it possible to spoof numbers (421 is an invalid area code)? Why don't you blame big business that brought us opt-out telemarketing (opt-out means any telemarketer can call you unless you tell them to stop and some won't stop) instead of opt-in telemarketing (opt-in means telemarketers cannot call you unless you give them express permission to call) and fought tooth and nail to prevent the DoNotCall Registry from being established?
