A person claiming to be with P & C Capital called the company I work for and threatened to serve me a work for a debt collection. Instructions were left for me to call Ms. Stevens at 424-246-6103. I called and was read my rights over the phone and informed that unless I paid this debt I would be served at work. I told her I never had any such account, she verbally attacked me further and hung up on me. She called my employer again and repeated the threat. I called my lawyer and was told it was a scam and the company did not exist. I filed a complaint with my state's department of justice, consumer protection division  and their response was the company could not be located. They asked for a mail or email address. If anyone has more info or contact addresses please post them.

You won't be "served" - they're scammers.  They get people "all worked up" because when people are scared, they don't stop to think and are more likely to pay them - even though they owe nothing!  Bottom line - no one gets a heads up they'll be served - the process server just shows up, unannounced.  More info here:

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
For extortion Scam Operations, file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

They called me tonight from an unknown number, the woman claimed to be Kelly Johnson. She gives me this number to call back for a law firm called Ross, Warrent Associates. She tells me that they are going to serve me at work on Monday morning and that they have ask ready tried to serve me several times at home.  I call the number and give her the case number and she starts yelling at me about the conversation I had with the other woman. Then before she hangs up on me she tells me she will see me in court. I still have no idea why they original called me but they are rude and obnoxious.

The new name is McBride and Associates. A few days ago the caller said McBird and Associates. They are soooo stupid.
My cell phone screen says "no caller ID". I am trying to figure out how to block that since it is not a number.
It is so annoying to constantly get these scam calls!!!

My boss told me that he was called by a Kelly Johnson from legal support services at McByrd and Associates stating that I owe a debt.  The phone number they gave is 8552609293.  Their machine picked up and said "you have reached the corporate office, please leave your message after the beep".  It didn't give the company name.  That seamed very strange to me.

Received a call this morning at work going to get served papers.  Was provided phone number 424-246-6103 with a case number and nothing else.  Seems like they are phishing around to get people to pay old debts or scam someone out of money.  Why would anyone want to call the person they are serving?  If a lawsuit was filed they need to do their due process and serve the parties involved to get their case going with the courts right? Doesn't make any sense and is harassment.

Got a call from these people at (424) 246-6103.  They were saying my husband owed over $3000 but if I paid within the half hour they would settle for $1028.65.  When I asked for proof of debt they told me that because it is over 12 months overdue they do not need to provide proof of debt.  When I said I would call Chase bank (who the debt is supposedly with)  they said I would have to call Archives and it would be a wait to get to someone, but that they could no longer tell me any details because it was sold to this collection agency.  Diane Miller also got very angry and started saying that if I didn't pay today (30 minutes to be exact) that they would continue with due process and take it to court.  I very politely said, "OK" and she hung up.  The new name is Stark, Stellar and Associates.
