Phone call to cell phone about "Direct Buy $50,000 home upgrade winner news"  I stated I was not interested and please do not phone me again.  Direct Buy has phoned me again.  This sounds like a scam to me.

THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING OUR CELL PHONE AND HOME PHONE FOR THE PAST WEEK.  WE HAVE NEVER USED DIRECT BUY.  LOUD SOUNDING ROOM. CALLERS HAVE ACCENTS.  HAVE ASKED TO BE REMOVED MULTIPLE TIMES.

Two calls today within 3 hours of one another.  Only can hear voices in the background and then the call is ended.  Drives me NUTS!!!

Direct Buy boiler room - they have multiple phone numbers so blocking one or two numbers does not help. Report them to the FCC if you are on their "Do not call list"

Have received multiple call from this #...No message ever left...If I P/U no one there...Who are they?

They've called me twice today within 3 hours. They claim to be "Direct Buy" and say I am in a drawing for a $50,000 prize. Sounds like a scam. I have reported them to the FTC at http://ftc.gov and I urge others to do the same.

Loud background noise, caller with accent wants to give "good news."  Unresponsive to being asked not to call again.  I have hung up on them, will see whether they call back.

Noise in background asked if I speak English. The male caller hung up when I answered in foreign language.

This call came from Seattle, WA. The female had an accent, perhaps Asian, and was hyper-perky or on pcp, speed, or whatever. She asked for me by name and informed me that she was calling on behalf of Direct Buy. "Congratulations, you have been selected...... $50,000...." Then, she started with the personal questions, "Are you single, married,......" I hung up at that point, knowing it was probably a scam.

Just a moment later, the phone rang again, but a different number appeared on the Caller ID: 425-111-4311. Also, a weird number was at the bottom of the Caller ID screen: M102909580000178. What is this? I answered, hoping the call was from a different person, but no, it was the same female. She wanted to know what had happened, why were we cut off (I'd hung up on her!). I told her I was busy and could not talk. She's calling tomorrow. Of course, I won't be answering. By the way, during this day, I received 2 calls from another scammer and 5 calls from a different one. I think these last two scammers are working together. Each scammer had called me yesterday, approx. 50 mins. apart and did the same thing today. What the phone hell is going on?! Must be the holidays...

Direct buy called-I answered by saying this is the direct buy prize distribution center and that their name ad been drawn as the winner of 50,000 annoying phone calls.This was answered by "uh....garbled laughter/stiffled background murmuring and then the caller hung up.I encourage everyone to have as much fun with these scammers as possible.Tell them you are the doctors clinic and that their syphillitic cultures came back postitive,we need your billing information.
Curiously, this number will not allow me to call it back.

This number has called my home phone twice, most recently 11/3/2011 9:30pm. Luckily they've never left a msg on my machine. They need to just DIE!

Same routine - quite a few calls recently from that number.  Woman tonight - very heavy accent - insisted she was from "Direct Buy".   What I have started doing is calling the main offices of these places and telling them that since they called us and we are on the do not call list, they are obviously not worth doing business with and we will never do business with them and encourage everybody we know to also not do business with them.  They are only interested in getting you on the hook and if you can convince them that their call is giving them negative business (not only you but others you know), hopefully they will go back to filling our recycle bin.

After reading the posts above, I wonder if this might be connected to Direct Buy.  I received a call from them a couple of weeks ago.  I asked for the caller's name, and informed her that I am on the Do Not Call List, and that I would report her to the FCC.  I haven't received more calls from Direct Buy, but I have received the other strange calls.

Direct Buy has called my house 3 times this month so far in Nov 2011 and half a dozen times in oct.  I have filed two complaints on the donotcall list as I have never done business with them, asked multiple times to be removed and not to be called again.  They seem to love calling between 7 - 9pm weekends and week days.  I feel that company must be really struggling so they have gone to using terrible telemarketers and have become pest.  I hope they go out of business.  I will never buy anything from them.

These scumbags called me at 9:45pm on a Friday night. I'd like to drag all these scam telemarketers into a field and shoot them.
