I gave my cell number to a company who sells windows and another who sells heat pumps/furnaces.  My guess (425)245-0321 belongs to one of them.  When I get a call back and answer, speaking to them, I'll find out the name of the company and post here.

Never list as anything just the number.  I call back and it says call back later.  I do think it is a roofing company.  When I was in K-mart they had some roofing guys come around and offer their services.  You were to set up an appointment with them but I never did use their service.  I think when I go back to that K-mart I'm going to ask them who those guys were.  Cause after that they started blowing my phone up.  I'm so glad I didn't give them my home number.

thanks to all who responded.  This "425" number has been driving me crazy with calls every day (which I haven't been answering).  Yes: I was in Kmart and was dumb enough to give Penguin my cell number due to some contest they were having.  At least I know now who it is bothering me.

I received a call from this number and finally answered it - it was Penguin Windows.  I filled out a form at a county fair for a free window. I asked them to remove my name and number from their list, and I did not receive calls from the 425-245-0321 number again.  However they started using other numbers, such as 425-608-7755, to continue to solicit my business.

I guess I must have signed up at KMart too, but I remember it being a "no thank-you" conversation.  Anyway received two calls from the 425-245-0321, call and left my name and number on their do not call list and still getting them and now from another number 425-977-2931, so I went to their website http://www.penguinwindows.com/contact.html and sent them an email saying do not call me from any number from them directly or any sub-contracter sales team, nor can they use or sell by email or phone number.  We'll see if it stops.

I keep getting calls from 425-245-0321 AND 425-977-2931. Like most who have posted here about this company (Penguin Windows), same thing for me. Aggressive K-Mart employee convinced me to give up my number (last time ANYONE will convince me to do that. I wonder how much incentive Penguin offered). I've gotten calls repeatedly from both numbers, even after I told them to take my name off the list. If someone decides to do a class action lawsuit for telephonic harassment, I'm in.

I am privelaged to some information about penguin windows most of which can be found at their website. Penguin Windows (Formerly Statewide Windows) is one of the leading companies in the industry and strive to achieve superior customer service. I have also entered into a contest at a local K-mart and recieved a call from the company. A little skeptical from past experience from entering other contests I asked for a blank entry form so that I could read the fine print. It actually says on the entry form itself 'Highlighted' that they will be contacting me regardless of DNC list. When I recieved the call the representative was kind and offered me a free in home demonstration of thier product. Looking to buy windows (Why I entered the contest) I scheduled one and they were not only informative but very polite.

Having been a telemarketer in the past let me just put out there that perhaps when you answered the phone 'YOU' were rude having gotten pushy telemarketing calls in the past and since you were already in a bad mood from getting the call in the first place to took out your frustrations on the poor individual working on the other end of the phone trying to feed his/her family. I know that when I worked as a telemarketer if you were rude to me then I would follow the law to the letter since there is a specific phrase that needs to be said (Least that's what I was told) in order to be placed on the companies DNC. If you did not say that phrase I would keep you in the system to be contacted by another person in the company and disposition the call as Not Available. There is a phrase that everyone should know since I learned it as a kid "You catch more bee's with honey than with Vinager". If you were polite and asked to be placed on the DNC then I would do it not matter how you said it, even you didn't ask and you told me 'Nicely' that you get a lot of calls I would put you on the DNC (after a short pitch)

The moral of the story here is that this company is one of the best for a reason and the few of you that have complained that need someone to blame might try looking in the mirror. Telemarketers work on a commission 'MAYBE' an hourly wage and are people with lives and family's trying to eat and pay bills the same as you. Who are you to act holier than thou?? All telemarketers are trained to smile while on the phone and were probably wearing one when they called you, And were probably still wearing one when they hung up because it is funny to see someone throw a fit over the phone with someone they have never met for just doing their job. I've even heard people throw a fit over a phone call THEY REQUESTED. Try talking with a manager the next time you get that call cause they will do what needs to be done if it's that bad. DON'T STERIO TYPE not all companies are the same and if you are polite and curtious then I'm sure that you will get the same response over the phone.

I'm VERY HAPPY with my product.
