- Viola| 2 repliesI am being harrassed by Reliant Recovery because I knew someone they are looking for many many years ago. Luke Pearson leaves threatening messages calling me negligent (of what?). His supervisor Aaron Daniels hung up on me when I complained and asked that my number be removed from their call list.
More calls from Luke Pearson -- this time when I ask for his supervisor he gives me Michael, who actually laughed at me and said it was difficult taking me serious.
Reliant Recovery is hiring thugs to work for them. BEWARE their numbers are 425-740-3600 and 1-888-333-1095!- Caller: Reliant Recovery

- Deb replies to ViolaWe have also been harrassed and threatened by them regarding an account that is not ours. They are rude and will not provide any documentation.
- Carolyn| 5 repliesThis company (Reliant Recoveries) has called me twice at work -- the first time I called them back and clearly told them this is a work number and not to call me there. I have no idea why they are calling - I had to ask repeatedly for their address and fax number - it was only when I made it clear the Federal law required this, that they finally gave it to me. Even though they told me they would make a note not to call me at my work number, they have called again and left a voice mail. They clearly work thru intimidation. The law requires them to send you something in writing within 5 days of the first contact. It has been over 2 weeks and I have received nothing. I believe this is a scam of some type - and it is helpful to see others reporting the same situation. The phone numbers they have left are 425-740-3620 and 425-740-3606. I am going to file a complaint against them.

- BOSS| 1 replyJohn Anderson. Just said to call him back. He is a collection company and will get no response. Tell them to remove your name from the call list or you will sue them. These are collectors with a high school diploma if they are lucky or GED. They are rude and lie. NEVER give them your bank account or any information! Best is not to return their calls. ASk them to send everything in writing. But do not give them your address. If they are legit they will have your address already

- Rita| 5 repliesA very rude gentleman, calling himself Michael Fishers, called from this number and left a threatening voicemail. Demanding that I make contact with him or he would 'pay me a personal visit'. I was not happy about this so called him back and told him that I am not the person he was looking for and to leave me alone. He, again, threatened to come to my house so I told him that he is welcome to but to be warned that I own a shotgun and then I hung up.
Pieces of vermin - collector| 4 replieshonestly ppl if you just talk to these guys they will offer you a settlement and erase probably more then the interest off the debt... why have debt and keep this crap on your credit report... and if it isnt you then contact whitepages and take your number off tha listing so ppl dont think its the debtors number..and please dont blame collectors for doing their job to keep society together by offering jobs to ppl in need and to pay back tha banks who are suffering... collectors are aggressive cause in america nobody pays the nice guy maybe if ppl would be more honest about what they owe we wouldnt have to have rumors about the owners and we wouldnt have ppl trying to shut down busineses and ruin ppls lifes and futures and families because they are mad they signed a bad contract for a bad credit card that my friend is your ppls fault and not anyones elses....

- Amy| 1 replyI returned a call to Matt Bowen at 888-333-1095. He had left a message with an 80 year old woman and she was scared and felt threatened. This is RELIANT RECOVERIES. Matt Bowen talked so fast and I asked him to slow down so that I could understand him. He would not. He was rude and hung up on me while I was trying to explain the truth. I called back and was turned over to Michael, Matt's associate. He, too, talks the talk of the intimedator. They have no interest in hearing the truth of a situation. They will accuse you of disputing the matter. They just blame the innocent party (me) and demand money. When I suggested that they talk to the lawyer for the person in question, Michael said they do not deal with lawyers. That may be their philosophy right now but if enough people gang together, Reliant Recoveries may have to learn to deal with lawyers. They are just upset because they know they bought an account whose statue of limitations has run out and they will have to eat the loss. Do not waste your time trying to deal with this very rude company. They will not work with anyone who truly wants to make good on any debt. Their harrassement tactics are a real turn off. Do not call 1-888-333-1095.

- Smart Guy| 1 replyReliany Recovery uses a mass calling method to pinpoint people with similar last names. They don't care if your related or not. If your last name is similar to who they are trying to reach, you will get a call from these IDIOTS!!! I am reporting these leeches to my states Attorney Generals Office for possible telecommunications violations and prosecution! I don't owe anyone anything, but they seem to think I'm related to the person they're looking for just because our last names are similar. They didn't believe me when I called them and told them I don't know the guy they're looking for-I was basically called a liar!!! Well, you IDIOTS from RELIANT better hold on tight for the ride of your life-You've pissed off and called the wrong person this time!!!! Personal lawsuit to follow my States investigation into your practices!!! I encourage everyone to report this company to your states' Attorney Generals Office.

Would like to post my situation with this group. Around the end of June Istarted to get messages from this group, but they would block there call so I would not answer. The left 4 messages from a Tim in the matter of 3days. All of these messages spoke to me about facing legal matters, garnishing wages, freezing accounts and taking assets. My mother got 2 messages from them asking for my mothers name "they dont have her name on there answering maching greeting' The message was like this Hi Paula this is Tim with Reliant recovery, you son John is facing serious legal trouble and urge you to call us at our office imeditatly. I then called them back;
I got Tim he is tring to collect on a capital one card that was charged on in 1999 that was for 5k now he demanding 9k, claiming if I dont pay i will get throwin in jail.
I called a consumer rights attorney, brought in all of the messages from me and my mother to my attorney. My attorney looked at my credit report from 5 years ago to get the proff that this debt is past the Statue of Limitations. I go in on Monday to sign the papers to sue them for 6 FDCPA violations, they are actually looking at a deflimation of character law suit agains them for the message to my mother.
My attorney said that this group is a junk debt collector meaning they collect on debt past the SOL... Google FDCPA anytime you recive a call from these vermin, if you feel a violation as many of you seem to have then google a FDCPA attorney.
Note: I sure hope the employee that is 'shouting' one here is Tim as you will see your job go up in smoke.- Caller: Reliant Recovery

- Had Enough| 1 replyGot a call from someone looking for a woman. I told him he had the wrong number, and he replied, this number is registered to her. I told him it wasn't her number any longer. He then asked if I knew her, and I replied no, I had never heard of her. I talked to my attorney and he told me that if you request that they stop calling because they obviously have the wrong number, and they do not comply, you can sue them in small claims court for a $500 settlement. And if they call you after the settlement, you can continually sue them until they finally stop. After three court suits, you can sue for harrasment and mental anguish. Pass this information around and we can probably get these people to stop calling anyone.

Why are you telling people to pay some BOGUS BILL just because you "CLAIM" its their debt - when you KNOW ITS NOT! - Brickhouse replies to collector| 2 repliesThere is a way to collect a debt and a way not to. And Reliant is an example of a company that goes about it the wrong way.

- phone is ringing off the hookWe have been getting "ID" restricted phone calls we do not answer them. It rings about 20 times a day! this has been going on for 2 weeks now. 4 times they have left messages asking for my daughter in her maiden name all this Shannon Carlson looking for my daughter for a legal matter and they are looking at her assets or some bull. They will call noon to 1030 at night. I own a ranch in Texas as I do not have time for that. Wednesday they left a message wanting a conference call with my daughter or someone in the house hold at 5pm sharp. This Shannon and a Mike were on that call, they were bulling me into giving out where may daughter works, if she owns a house, lives and a telephone. I made it clear to them I am not giving out any information on this and if you keep calling I will get you for harassment. Well we had peace Wed eve. through Friday. Today it started back up HARD. I had bowling league tonight and on the county sheriff is on my team and a close personal friend. Told him about this, he came over. Soon as he walked into our home the damn phone was ringing. He answered it there they were looking for my daughter. Sherriff asked why who is this they slammed the phone down. Sherriff called the number above they left on the answering machine and asked for a supervisor. Mike came on Sherriff gave them the opportunity to stop calling or else charges will be pressed. He did not believe it was a sheriff, Sheriff asked them to call the dispatch team to ask where he was. Mike quickly believed it was the sheriff. I think I will not be hearing from them again! From what I am reading these people are a bunch of sewer rates, I have offered for them to be man enough to stop by my ranch and handle this person to person. My daughter has never skipped on a payment we pulled her credit report and found nothing bad.
