calls EVERYDAY and occasionally leaves messages, one was from "natasha" who said i needed to call her back that day b/c it was important.... basically this is a debt collector

This was from a woman named Samantha James and she said she was a debt collector.

Woman called from Everett WA saying she had to talk to me about and urgent business matter and would not tell me what it was about until I verrified who it was. She continued to call me back three times after I continued to hang up on her.

Left a msg on my answering machine that it was Tami Gaines(?) calling from Century Credit about a bad debt - I don't have any bad debts.  Called her back and asked her how she got my name and phone number - I have an unlisted number.  She asked me my name and I asked her why she wanted to know.  Then she said "Are you (my name)"; when I confirmed that I was, she asked if I lived at an address in Tacoma, WA (which clearly was impossible from having a 425 phone number).  When I told her I'd never lived there, she said "she would take me off their list and that they must have gotten me mixed up with another person".  I don't think this person is a deb collector at all - I think she has some kind of scam going.  I hung up but called her back and asked her how she got my phone number since it is unlisted, and she just said, "don't worry - we have taken you off our list".  

Got a call from this number, and I chose not to answer it because I didn't recognize the number. A woman left a VERY peculiar message. She said her name was "____something Gaines'" , and she said she was a debt collector. Her voice had a British-like accent in the beginning of the message, and then her voice changed to what I can only describe as "California Valley Girl". It was like she was doing vocal warm-ups before a theatrical production.  Very strange to say the least. I have a hard time believing she was a debt collector because I have no debts that would merit a debt collection company to pursue. Hard to take this woman seriously anyway because of the strangeness of what she was doing with her voice.

I truly believe that debt collectors, especially the bottom feeders, will call every person in the United states with the name that they need or even names that are close (Melissa for Melanie, etc.).

Called the number back out of curiosity and I can now add the name Melinda to all the M's that they call for.

Called me and just laughed in the phone.  Never said anything.

Female called and left 2 numbers with one being toll free.  She said she was with Century Credit Debt Collections and needed to call her back.  I have no debts that are behind and all debts are local.  She did not give a name of who she was wanting to begin with.

Same messages as other posts here.  Kelly Gaines with "valley girl" accent. Said she was calling for Kelly White, not me.  Said she would remove my #, said it must have been a clerical error, sounded fishy.

Tami Gaines is still at it.  She called me today, left a very ambiguous message.  Doesn't say who she is calling for, but "It's VERY important I call her back right away!"???? From Century Credit.  I don't even have any credit cards.  SOOOOOOOO, definitely a scam.  Block the number and don't even bother to call them back.
