Scam call. Caller said that we were going to be sued by the IRS.

I just got the same call is this true i called back and its always busy? I do have a small debt with irs but no one has reached out to me about any lawsuit

Received a recorded call from this number saying this was last and final call from the IRS and that a lawsuit was being filed against me.

Nope, it's a well known scam. If you are dealing with the IRS for back taxes, they will use traceable ways of contacting you (such as certified mail through the USPS), will assign you a case number (which you can confirm by looking up the contact number for the IRS yourself and calling them to tell them about the call and give them the number) and so forth.

They will never tell you they're coming to arrest you (why tell a criminal they're about to be arrested and give them a chance to run?), cannot assign the local cops to come get you a anyway (jurisdiction),  and cannot seize your assets, bank accounts, etc, without due process in a court of law first. Not to mention that owing money is NOT a federal crime in the US and you can't be thrown into jail for owing money, even to Uncle Sam (Unless, of course, you've been doing something shady like skimming the books, etc. You know--like running scams or conducting fraud, which is what these callers are attempting to do to you).

About the worst that can happen is that your credit score tanks, no matter what they might try to tell you on the phone. Don't give them any info, take notes, and take it all to the real IRS on your own terms. Or...don't bother to answer the call or call back.

Got same robocall. Should it be reported to attorney general?

Received a call saying it was the final notice and that the IRS was going to file a lawsuit against me.

This number called me 8 times in a week! Today they threatened me saying we have been trying to reach you this is your final notice this is the IRS and we are filing a lawsuit on you please call 1 425 954 6859 right away again 1 425 954 6859 !!!! I called it back it rang 5 times and I hung up something told me this is crap and sure enough it is! They better hope I don't answer next time!

I got a call saying that my husband's ex-wife who died in 1993 was going to be sued by the IRS.

They told me they were from the IRS and were calling in an attempt to collect a debit and when I replied they had called me before and their number was on the fraud site for the IRS and he said F*** you and hung up and when I tried to call back and my number was blocked.

Another scam call from 425-954-6859 saying final notice from IRS.  Hopefully the FCC will trace these idiots down, put them out of business & file lawsuits against them.  Scum of the earth who need to be put away.

Just talked to someone from this number and told them that I worked for the IRS how can they be the IRS when I'm calling from there. The mans' reply was "I don't know," and then I told him to stop contacting people and he said "I don't think I can do that." Then he hung up, what a sick world we live in, don't give them any information or money, this is a scam.

Automated call saying that it was the final notice from the IRS suing.  I received the exact same call from phone number 202-559-0661 yesterday.  Hope this info helps to catch the people trying to scam the public.

A robotic message on my machine stating "you are being sued", and to call 425-954-6859. I really hope these people are consequenced for their actions.

Just got a call from 425-954-6859, saying IRS was filing a lawsuit. 3:18PM EST 7/25/2015. So much BS.

These people are total idiots. They don't stop calling. Really the IRS is going to say to drop off money . Total bs

I called them back and it was some Indian guy who claimed he was with the crime investigation unit of the IRS. He kept asking me for my phone number to look up my account, and I told him I was an elderly citizen and that I couldn't remember my number. He read his caller ID and asked me if XXX-XXX-XXXX was my number, and I told him the last two digits weren't right and that I didn't think it was my number. He said without my number he could not look up my account. I kept telling him I did not know my phone number, to which he kept telling me he could not help me. He eventually told me that I should hang up the phone and not waste his time. I kept asking who he was, and he kept repeating he was with the IRS. I told him that I know my taxes were correct, so I wasn't sure why he was calling my number. He then told me to hang up the phone so I wasn't wasting his time, and he then hung up on me.

Sam call! can't believe law enforcement don't shut them down. This has been going on for months. SCAM needs to be added to this forum!
