I also have been phone calls from number 425-977-2020 and they never leave a message.  I am tired of this kind of phone bullying.  If it is Penguin Windows then they are behaving in an unprofessional manner and I would not purchase from them.

If this is Pinguin Windows then it makes sense (finally)!  I too have been getting calls every day from this number...reading this post makes sense.  I signed up for a promotional "contest" at a store the other day, where the winner could get a new kitchen (or whatever).  I gave them my phone number to call if we won (silly me...they were using the contest as a disguise for capturing suckers).

They're called Penguin Windows out of conn. or somewhwere if you signed up at christmas time shopping, when they bugged you @ christmastime and you signed up just to get rid of the guy so you could get your mind back on the christmas shopping all to enter their "supposed" contest they keep haunting you, an old form of Data mining. If you call that no. and wait and listen to the menu, you can place your no. on their DO NOT CALL LIST. I called it twice just to make sure they got the message, and I might do it again. It's fun to haunt someone back legitimately......

If you sign up for any contest from a vendor, you automatically place your name on the prospect list for sales, whether you do it a a county fair or K-Mart or wherever. It might be Worldmark, it might be a roofing company, or Penguin Windows. For the record, Penguin is  legitimate business. I filled out a contest form at a home show, they came to my house, did not "strong arm" me, but I had looked at several other brands, they showed me a good product, and I bought their windows. I love them and have recommended them to friends who also purchased them and love them. So if you're in the market for really good windows, go ahead and return the call. If not, tell them you're not looking for windows. No big deal. I will warn you that you have to keep on top of the customer service department if you need them, but they eventually get around to taking care of you. They even completely replaced a sliding glass door for me that they measured wrong.

Oh yeah, and if you filled out a card, that is a lot better and more legitimate way to get a calling list than some companies who use an autodialer to dial every number in the phone book. Now those are the real scumbags.

I entered the "contest" at K-mart too.  I answered the phone call and told the person that I was not interested in purchasing windows because my home is only 6 years old.  He continued to attempt to schedule an appt for a "free" home inspection.  When I told him no thank you, he continued to attempt to make the appt.  I asked him what part of no thank you I'm not interested did he not understand??  He continued to attempt to make the appt.  I finally hung up on him and I have received at least two calls per day since that conversation that I don't answer, no message left.  I have just registered my number on the Do Not Call list.

The details are in the fine print - from their online contest form which is the same:

By signing this entry, I give Penguin Windows permission to contact me for the purpose of confirming my entry in this contest and to offer me a free energy and security inspection regardless of my being on any “Do Not Call Registry”.

The web is full of Penguin horror stories:

I already spoke to them and told them I was only interested in them coming over if I won the free windows. so why are they still calling me?  I think their window sweepstakes is a scam.  Noone wins free windows.

Instead of not leaving a message, i picked up the call and the guy just laughed... so i hung up. These people need to be arrested for harassment.
