It's a collection agency that uses fraudulent tactics to collect debts. They will claim they have pending litigation against you and an officer has been dispatched to serve you. They are lying. They are attempting to either collect a very old debt that they can no longer collect on, or they are attempting to collect a debt that you do not owe. Don't fall for their scare tactics. It's ILLEGAL!

My husband received a call from:  772-237-6551 (stating for him to call this # 425-998-6076)... this is the message they left:    got a call saying that they were in the process of serving legel documents to us and wanted to verify that someone would be home Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm who could accept the delivery on his behalf.  They would attempt to make 3 deliveries to come out and serve us, if no one is available they would note the records of "failure to serve".  As a courtsey they can provide us with the issuing agencys phone number for further information and any questions we may have.  They will put a 3 hour temporary stay on this case to allow us time to contact them.  If they do not hear back from them within that amount of time they will assume and continue to process with service.  This is a courtsey call to inform us that they are making their 1st attempt, thank you and good luck.

I got a call similar. They called my fathers house and said if he didnt tell them where i was within 3 hours they would send an officer to the house to serve HIM papers and make him show in court to tell them where to find me. I called them and they said nothing like that was ever said. Whats more is i do not recognise the debt they claim i owe and wouldnt do anything to help me understand who it was i owed. They claim if i dont pay it they will garnish my wages and i have no legal actions i can take to stop them. They also wanted a credit card number to hold onto until i could review the paperwork they were sending or they couldnt do anything. Of course they did not get a credit card number from me nor would i say where i worked. They also claimed it appeared as if i had made 12 payments on this debt in a 7 month period. If this is true one would think i would remember who it was i supposedly owed. Im glad to see im not the only one who feels these guys are fake. Whats more is, it IS illegal to call to collect a debt and threaten people like that over the phone. Needless to say, i told my father they basicly called him a liar and he decided to call them and give them a peice of his mind as well!

This is the information I was looking for. Thanks everyone. I figured it's a collection agency trying to scare into paying...but the same for me. I don't have any litigation pending, and whatever it is would have to be old. They made the same claims that an officer would be sent to serve papers, blah, blah..I've never heard of these people or have any idea what debt I supposedly owe.

Got a call from them through a private number 3 times and told them to call within 15 minutes because its urgent. If someone isn't dying or in the hospital, why do I need to call in 15 minutes or less?

They called me through a private number first then gave me this number 425-998-6076 to call. Then they called me through another number in Houston texas, 713-931-4831.

They said they had some legal documents and threatening to sue if no one calls back but would not state what it is.

If you want to sue someone, don't do it over the phone. It is illegal to do that. Do it the old fashion way and serve it! and don't be calling me through a private number, I am not going to answer it obviously.

The call came from Mr. Canvis on (815) 704-3703.  When attempts were made to call this number, a recording came on and stated that the Majic Jack customer is unavailable to take my call.  Mr. Canvis left the same type of message and phone number (425) 998-6076 regarding serving some legal documents between 9 am and 4 pm on 13 Sep 2013.

Ok, I am always reading about the scams that are taking place through collection companies pretending to be a law firm and in actuality they have no connection to any attorney's. So my girlfriend get's a call that sounded oh so familiar to me from a company called SCG. I told her that they are fakes and not to worry about it, after she took my advice she hung up in there face and received no more calls. About a month later she was served some court documentation, she is now being sued, she is soooo pissed at me right now. So I guess i am writing this for anyone who thinks these guys are the usual collectors who claim to be connected to an attorney, or an attorney themselves, No not these guys, they are really suing people.

25% 0f my check is being garnished bi-weekly. I'm so screwed! Hope this helps, i wish i could post my court documents.

SHILL ALERT- Scare tactics from the boiler-room boys. Did anyone ask for proof of debt? By law, if you ask, they have to provide the information. Notice how the scammers are evolving (sorry to primative life forms). It used to be "You'll be arrested". Now it's "You're being sued". ALWAYS ask for proof in writing. NO email & NO verbal.

if you make less then 290.00 a week i believe its 290.00 a week they cannot garnish your check,,as a low life lying sleazy debt collector,,,if you have no collections for the week(which i believe is happening to you right now) and make only 7.00 an hour then your pay is 280.00 a week,they cannot garnish your check LIAR..you know what people on unemployment make more money then you

Nothing in writing spells SCAM

Don't let them get away with suing you without them proving you owe them.  They can sue you without any proof and if you ignore it they can get a judgement.  If it isn't your debt, if it is timebarred, a debt you already paid, etc. fight it.

I got the same call twice, from two different numbers: 772-237-6551 and 713-931-4831. Both callers said basically the same thing: i had a pending suit against me and to call them back at 425-998-6076. I checked my credit report this morning just to be sure, i have no collections. i never have had any either. I assume this is a scam.

Update from my previous post. They called me through a new number now. Please block this number from Kentucky. (502) 713-1461.  They left a message saying " Hi <insert name here>, I am Ms. < I don't care>. We have been forwarded your case for final review and are in the process of continuing. If you have been served, please disregard this call. If you have not, Please ask your attorney to call 425-998-6076 to discuss the matter. Follow the legal documentation and show up to all appearances. Thank you. "

They also got creative and made a case number for you to refer to with 3 digits and the first three letters of the first name.

This place may or may not fall under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act depending on if they are an inhouse collection company.  They threatened to have process to serve on my husband and his mother, not even realizing they are mother and son.  My husband is not linked to his mom financially in any way.  They are deceptive and I have filed a complaint with the Colorado Collection Agency Board.
