Long survey about groceries....44 min. Foreign speaking lady

Called about a food store survey 2 days ago. Said "no thanks" and hung up.  They called back again tonight.  

The call came in @ 6:30 pm 04/30/2014. The caller I.D. read SSI, I learned that the call was generated in Lynchburg, VA.
When calls come in on my home # and I don't recognize the name on my caller I.D. I answer using my professional voice,
the caller hangs up the majority of the time. I feel the SSI caller I D name is being used for the purpose of having the elderly believe the call is from Social Security Insurance.

They called several times in the last few days without leaving a message.

Have received repeated calls today without a human on the other end, just a loud and repeated beeping sound as if a computer is attempting to connect. We have also gotten similar beeping messages left on the answering machine. Caller ID reads SSI. No idea how to contact the company to stop calls.

Called my cell. Rang twice and they hung up.

Called my phone, said SSI in caller ID, when someone finally said something it was to ask for a family member who is no longer at home.  They apologized and hung up.  Didn't say what it was about.

Called my cellphone. Was for a political survey.

Rings twice and then they hang up.

Called, on 434-322-4276.  I did not pick up.  Caller ID said Alberta, Va.

I answered, they hung up! Pissing me off.

I already blocked this number but they keep calling anyway.  I'm trying to figure how so that the blocked call is not even displayed because even that is getting annoying.

Exactly is what we must do to block that thieves, they called me to ask that I should pay the sum of 500 dollars because if they were not going to arrest me at my house, they say they are from the police, I was scared because I told myself myself but I have not committed any crime very scared I told my husband but he told me they are thieves
