2nd call now we will pay.

Someone that says:   regarding an enforcement action executed by US Treasury intending(?) your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge order(?) grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 434-322-4390. I repeat 434-322-4390. I'd like you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

Got the same call at 8:30am with the same message. Caller ID shows it came from Alberta Va.  Heavy accented Indian or Arab voice.

Received the same call at 10:00am today and yesterday. Heavy accent, his name yesterday was Steve Martin....Called them back and confronted them, his name was Tom then. Told him to quit calling, he asked if I didn't believe him in a authoritative voice, I laughed and told him sure don't and he hung up. What a scam!

Same call here something about owed money, did not listen closely as it was obviously a scam. Was an indian accented speaker. Mine was pre-recorded. Left the message yesterday and called again today. Blocked the number

Call looking for my Dad who pass away 22year ago saying he owe the IRS and they needed to collect and I may be held responsible for that bill,, after laughing (uncontrollably) I told them if they talk to him tell him how much I miss him and to send me a message sometime telling me how thing are with him.. I like this SCAMMER

I received the exact same call, called the number back, told him that I didn't do anything, and he said he couldn't hear me. I told him that I did not do anything, and told him not to call us anymore. He tried calling our phone again, and again, an I ignored both times.

His name was Steve Martin today.  I just blocked this obvious scammer.

i put the call on hold immediately without saying a word and walked away.
then i called them back on my magic jack from my computer without using the handset.
there is no microphone or speaker so all they get is silence.

Called 10x today! Then I finally picked up & pressed 55555555555555555555555 & hung up. Then I googled then number. I've gotten them saying they were from IRS & a bench warrant was issued on me for tax evasion. I was screaming so much that they hung up on me. I called the IRS myself to verify. I was told it's a scam & the IRS only contacts you mail.....never calls!

Thanks to all of you who have shared before...you confirmed what I suspected so this call will be blocked. Yes my guy was "Steve Martin" (the comedian no doubt), also with a heavy Indian accent and oh so sincere on his voice mail. Thanks to those who took it a step further & called "Steve" back....you've saved alot of us from the bother.Thanks again!

I have received this call a month or so ago and then today they called three times in a row when I didn't answer they finally left a message, same as the others though I didn't catch the guys name.  Do we report this number to anywhere in particular? I gather it is small potatoes for law enforcement to go after and if we don't believe them and no one does they'll have to find another route to try and scam people, hopefully we can put them out of a "hobby" by not falling for it.

These are criminal extortionists operating in overseas boiler rooms using VOIP to alter their identities and locations and out of the reach of US law enforcement.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

Call every day... no message... however; if I am so inclined to pick up the phone...wait for it... they will get an ear full.... my rape whistle full blast.
