- Sandra| 2 repliesI got two calls in a row. I'm at work and am not able to answer the phone. I attempted to call the number back and I got a "I'm sorry, this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service". Since they won't leave me a message or allow me to call back, I might have to block them from calling me again. It's from Oak City, UT according to my iphone.

- DonGot robo call, Feds need stop this [***]. Tried to call back and recording, no such number
- IrinaFraud call to sell some medical equipment
- Marko| 8 repliesI was in the middle of something when the phone rang. I saw the number was from out of state and let it go to voice mail. When I went back a short time later I saw they had called again back to back. No message left so I goggled the number and found info here. Glad I didn't answer it.
So while we all have our own way of dealing with this, here is my way of dealing with robo calls:
I make a new contact in my contact list, you can call it anything you like, ROBO, or on my case I call them TELE*PEST. Each time I get another unwanted call I add the number to my contact list under TELE*PEST, once it is full of numbers I change the name to TELE*PEST*FULL and make another contact named TELE*PEST. Now when I make the new contact I select a special ring tone for them and then I adjust the volume to mute just for them on the ring tone setting, this way while I can't seem to stop them from calling I can avoid ever hearing the call.
In my case my phone will store 12 numbers for each contact, and I must have over 50 TELE*PEST*FULL contacts so they seem to have an endless list of numbers to call from, but I have an endless ability to miss more of their calls. After the first time they call and fail to leave a message I simply add them into my TELE*PEST list and am no longer disturbed by them. Simple but yet effective. - Anonymous replies to MarkoI do the same thing. I've got 3 different "Spammer" contacts in my phone, with at least 10 numbers saved to each. I can set my Android to not even ring or let me know when they call, so I only learn about it after the fact if they manage to leave me a voicemail. It doesn't stop the calls, but it sure does stop my screaming into my phone about not being able to stop the calls.
- RoyClaims to offer free Live Alert System. Press 9 to speak to an operator. Was on hold for a while listening to the music. Eventually an operator picked up. This is a scam to get information out of you. You will get calls from different organizations and they use the information you provide to steal your identity.
- Caller: Live Alert System
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DdMy phone has a block caller so I just block caller

- MegJust got a call from this number. I didn't recognize it so I let it go; no voicemail left. I decided to check here; something told me I'd find it :) and I did. I won't call them back, the numbers are usually spoofed anyway.
- Figsnana StarksI am receiving calls from this number. It is not a valid working number when I call back.
- Caller: Unknown Utah area
- Craig SuttonUnwanted is right!
- Caller: no name
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JamesThe call about 4 times a day (435-846-9869) and never leavy
a message. Getting old... - Fraud haterI received a call from this number, even though I'm on the do not call registry. I'm so sick of getting these calls from various numbers that I have started answering and asking for the name of the company. I did that here and "Jenna," ID no. 3343 immediately hung up.
The robo message I listened to before Jenna got on the phone was some BS message about a free medical alert. When I called back, I got a recording telling me the number has been disconnected.
I can't stand these people.- Caller: Didn't disclose
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnonymStandard "Medical Alert" robo-call, which tells me that "a friend or family member" recommended me for the offer. Droid that picked up the call said I had "opted-in" to their offers, and was wholly unfamiliar with the notion of the Do Not Call Registry. My number is a employment-provided cellphone, the low-rung operators answering the calls can't even lie correctly, and respond with whatever BS their employer tells them.
