The company being represented is Best Pay from somewhere in Quebec. They do not seem to acknowledge that there are some businesses that do not wish to be called and solicited. They also seem to be completely unaware that there is a Do Not Call List.

Our number is listed on the National Do Not Call List --- and we have asked to be removed from their calling list --- and we have on numerous occurrences asked the telemarketer if they respected the National Do Not Call List upon which they promptly apologize with assurances that this will never happen again.

I have been reluctant to report them --- but after about a year have finally had more than enough.

We received a call from them during our busiest time of day; I had to ask twice what the name of the company was.  I let them know we were uninterested in their service and politely hung up, and they called back three more times, being aggressive and acting as if *we* had done something wrong. The caller's accent was difficult to understand, but they made some claim that we were being placed on a something list...? Couldn't even hear what they were saying so we hung up.

This is a scam. They are trying to get your financial information to access your credit card accounting. Tell him you are calling the RCMP (the only police that can act in Quebec) and hang up.

Then CALL THE RCMP. It's the only way to get these fruitcakes to stop.

    Frustrated with these calls!
I am not sure who these people are, all I know is that they called me on the business line (wasting my time and my boss' money) and then they hung up on me when I said "Hello?" and when I called the number back I got the "The number you have dialed is no longer in service" message. So needless to say, I went straight to the DNCL!!!! I urge everyone to use it,  you can make so many different kinds of complaints there, even if its not specifically related to a telemarketer!!! Report every violation, because if you don't report it, then nothing will get done!!! They also have links to the RCMP fraud investigations if you think someone is trying to fraud you!!!! REPORT REPORT REPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this number called wanting me to check my POS statements to make sure I was receiving "the discount you are entitled to." When I told them I use Chase Paymentech the guy acted like I was stupid and said " Yes, Chase pays US to follow up." He tried to insist on speaking to my accountant. I told him I wouldn't give him the info and he acted like Chase would be mad at me. When I called Chase to find out about it, they had no idea what this was about. Sounds like someone just fishing for my info.

Received this call at work out of nowhere. Not sure they knew they could get a hold of me at the work number: I just started in that new position and gave the number to NOBODY. That's a bit scaring.
Anyway, they said they were something like the Federal Controllers of Canada (can't remember the stupid name they gave me) and asked for my credit card statement information because supposedly I was entitled to 20% to 40% discount from all shops I used my card with. Yeah right, I was also born yesterday and I'm going to give my financial information to the first guy calling me and requesting it.
I told them I don't have my statement in front of me and to call me back later during the week.
After that, I called my financial institution to report the incident, I called the RCMP to file a complaint (http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/detach/index-eng.htm to find your number) and I called the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 to file a complaint (http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/english/home-eng.html).
The three of them confirmed that you should NEVER communicate that information over the phone to somebody you don't know and that there's no such organization like the Federal Controllers of Canada asking for it.
Funny, they never called me back.
You can run but you can't hide! We'll put you in jail for good!

my boss forwarded the voicemail to me, and when i tried to call back, it was saying that "your account has expired" i redailed the same number many times, most time it said "your account has expired", only one time, yes, it did connect once to the number, but it was saying "Thank you for calling Nationwide payment canada" then nothing....so stupid...the company name from the voicemail was different with Nationwide payment Canada, the caller did not sounds clearly on the company name and her name, but very clear on the phone number. so i'm 200% sure that it was the same number with Nationwide Payment...

unfortunately ,  if this is coming from a country like india (good chance it is) using a voip line with a phone number in Quebec then the rcmp can really do not much.

Best to just hangup or have fun with them.  Pretend to be super interested and give them the Ontario inc number of your local police or rcmp (they have there own incorporated numbers.  make sure that they have the proper phone number and that they called in on a back line and that they should call the main line (main phone number would be main rcmp number)  and that the address.  Although they may already have your info LOL

I just got a call from this number around 3:30 this afternoon on my cell phone. I was at work so I wasn't there to pick up the call. Usually I get PRIVATE NUMBER from Telemarketers "Calling on behalf of ScotiaBank" but not this one. That's unfortunate you can't get away from these guys! It's so annoying!! I'm sick of it. My number is not on the national DNC list but from what I've heard that doesn't really do much. I hope these idiots don't call me anymore!
