Won't stop calling; won't leave a message; it you call back, nothing happens.

Received two calls 7/29/2014 and 7/30/2014 @ 9:25am each day from this number. Caller I.D. says "Member Services". Does not leave a message but from the timing of these calls I'm assuming it's a computer generated call that will continue every day at this time perhaps.

Received a call.  Dead air space when I answered, then hung up.  This is happening frequently from this number and others.  I want it to stop.

Call received at 9:33 a.m (central)  on 7/30/14.   Caller ID:   MEMBER REWARDS    The call was intercepted by my Sentry
Call Blocker device and is now blocked on my phone system.  

Got called from this number. 10 second silence then disconnect.
Nuisance.

Just received this call.  I answered it and got a recording asking if I'm interested in going on "A Norwegian Cruise Line" press 1, if not press 2.  When I press 2, supposedly I'm opted out of their "Do Not Call List".

Rec'd call.... automated asking if I wanted to go on a cruise.  Called back and auto answered asking if I want my number removed their call list.  Definitely removed it!

Rec'd call on my cell phone.... didn't answer. Called back on a land line and got an automated answering machine telling me to press "1" if I wanted my number removed their call list.  Obviously, I pressed "1" to have my number removed. The answering machine said to allow 48 hours for the number to be removed.

Called each of the last four week days at 12:10pm. No messages left, caller ID only says: OH, USA.

To quote a film: "We don't give money. We don't like charities. We don't buy raffle tickets." And I might add, we don't want anything you're selling.

I'm annoyed and this has become just another blocked number.

Caller ID says member rewards. Robo call about a discount cruise at 75 percent off.

I blocked this phone number recently, and got a call this morning which went directly to blocking and within seconds  they tried again,  from the same number, they are persistent aren't they. Never have left a message on answering machine before I blocked them, oh well.

keeps calling my cell phone. when I redial a computer generated messages comes on. when given the proment to push a specific number to be placed on a do not call list I am still receiving calls......arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Same as other callers. Calls and does not leave a message. I automatically blocked it. Thank God for the blocking feature! The list of blocked numbers keeps getting longer and longer.

Tried to tell man who called from the cruise line to remove my number from his list, didn't get to say anything before he hug up on me.  I don't like getting robo calls on my cell phone.  For that matter I don't know anyone who wants these calls they should be banned. Just a way for the phone company to sell you their call blocker.  I think the phone company is behind these calls.

Called left no message.

Monotonous blocked tis call with only one ring. MEMBER REWADS calls every day from a different number anne a different scam.

I am glad I found this site, and see that others received this call. I was called today at 3:16pm. After I chose 1 I was expecting to talk to a live person. Then after the phone call ended, I thought oh gosh, I've probably agreed to purchase swamp land in Arizona.

These people should be arrested, someone tell me what the purpose of the Do Not Call list is if I'm going to continuously receive calls from this number, and others like them

This post has two parts.  The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list.  The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.

1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

Remember, the FCC's Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers.   To report spammers and scammers, visit the FTC site, at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

The Do Not Call list and telemarketing laws like any law cannot prevent criminal activity.  Reports do not result in immediate action since this caller is likely not even registered with the FTC as a telemarketer. It takes a volume of complaints at both the DNC website and the FCC to bring a number such as to the attention of the regulatory authorities.  The DNC list works very well for law abiding companies so you can pretty much be assured that any sales call you do receive on your DNC listed number is from someone you would not want to do business with if not an outright scam.
