Do yourselves a favor folks and get a call blocker. Sell a kidney and/or first-born if you must. :-) I used money that I might have otherwise contributed to annoying political parties and charities. After the constant calls, I decided to put the money to better use. The resulting absence of annoying calls is worth it.- Caller: MEMBER SERVICES
- ABCalling my phone no message. Filed complaint with the FTC. Please do the same ASAP.

Today I pushed 1 to speak with a "qualified" somebody, I was going to tell them to remove my name from their list but no one ever picked up the phone.
They need to stop their harassment!!!!!!

- ShooterGot a call from 440-617-5643 just a couple minutes ago...Caller ID: MEMBER SERVICES. I never answer such calls from these sorts of [***] and I seldom have my answering machine on when I'm home, so I listened to the phone ringing 7 times and imagined the caller was trying to solicit money so he could take a trip to the country this weekend to have sex with farm animals. Perhaps that's what MEMBER SERVICES really means.
- Caller: MEMBER SERVICES
- mcsame thing, won't leave message or talk.
NOTHING CHANGES UNLESS YOU FILE WITH FCC:

- JaserI received a call from this number from someone who said he represented card services. He tried to give me some sales pitch. I told I didn't need his services at which point he said "why are you wasting my time you f***ing ass**** and hung up the phone. I tried to call back the number on caller ID but received a recorded message stating how to get my number off their call list. I shouldn't have been on their list as I subscribe to the no solicitation service.
- Caller: Card Member Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- larryjayHave received several calls from this number. It starts with a lewd lady saying this will be the last time we will be notified of the possibility of an interest free card. Previous notices sent to that address were ignored. After pressing one to connect and register my disgust,
finally went dead. The number of the telephone listed themselves as "member services."- Caller: Member services
- Call type: Telemarketer

- KevinReceived a call from 440-617-5643. Caller id said 'Westlake OH'. It was a recording of a woman saying that they've sent several notices to my residence and this is my last chance to lower my interest rate before they close the file on my account. I was given the option to press 1 to be transferred to a representative. I hung up.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- EnoughisEnoughReceived a robo call from "Member Services", but was in the mood to give a little harassment back. I pressed 1 to be connected to a rep, and then waited for at least 4 minutes until my call was answered (I was #2 in the call queue). A woman with a Spanish accent who called herself the stage name of Lisa Edwards took my call.
I asked her how helping me lower my interest rates benefited Member Services and she went into her scripted dialogue about how cardholders were defaulting on their agreements, people were filing bankruptcy, etc. and Visa, Mastercard and Discover were not getting balances paid. By accepting their offer, 2% of monthly payments made by the cardholder would be funneled to their organization in exchange for a lower interest rate and the balances being paid off sooner, not the interest.
Then, Lisa was going to transfer me to her "account services manager". She asked to verify my correct name, address and billing zip code. When she asked for the last four digits of my social, I said, "Do you really expect me to tell you that?" She told me it was for my own security because anyone in my household could pretend to be me. I laughed and she then hung up.
I will be reporting this to the FCC and verifying this with my genuine cardholder companies.- Caller: Member Services

You are receiving this email in response to your inquiry to the FCC.
Thank you for your e-mail to Chairman Tom Wheeler regarding a telephone scam.
While there are many legitimate companies that use the telephone for marketing, consumers and business lose millions of dollars to telemarketing fraud each year. It's sometimes hard to tell the difference between reputable telemarketers and criminals who use the phone to rob people. You can protect yourself by learning how to recognize the danger signs of fraud. If you are a victim or attempted victim of telemarketing fraud, it's important to report the scam quickly so that law enforcement agencies can shut the fraudulent operation down.
Some of the various telemarketing scams are:
-Government Grants - Nigerian Money
-Loan Applications -Business Opportunities
-Fake Check Scams -Credit Card Loss Protection
Remember: The government doesn't telephone people offering money. Most credit card companies offer loss protection for free. Offers of business opportunities that are too good to be true usually are. Fake Check Scam is similar to Nigerian scam- callers are offering to pay for something you are selling via a third party because they are in another country or they are in another country and need an advance, etc.
You can file complaints about various scams with the FTC or your state Attorney General or consumer protection agency. For information on how to file complaints with the FTC, visit the FTC Web site at www.ftc.gov or call toll free at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261.
Contact information for your state Attorney General's office or consumer protection agency usually can be found in the blue pages of your telephone directory.
You may want to put a fraud alert on your credit report if you feel they are trying to steal your identity.
Victims of identity theft may contact the fraud departments of the three major credit bureaus, report the theft and ask that a "fraud alert" be placed on their file and that no new credit be granted without their approval:
Equifax: 1.800.525.6285
Experian: 1.888.397.3742
Trans Union: 1.800.680.7289
Contact you're bank to make them aware there is a scam. Also, contact your local law enforcement regarding the threats and notify your local newspaper so they can get the word out to other consumers that there is a scam in your area.
I hope this information has been helpful.
Thank you
