Same here. They must have refreshed their number list. Two new numbers this past week. FYI, the Mr Number app (I have it on my Android phone) is fantastic for catching and auto-hanging up on these spammers.

yep another portfolio scam.  you have to love the telephone tough guys (and gals) they employ.  the threats are priceless!  Almost worth your time just to listen to them ramble on.  Let them waste their time and spin their wheels all for naught.  lol

Just received call from this number asked her "Who the F___ are you?"  Got a real quick busy signal!!! Never got past is this XXXX.

Just got another call from Portfolio Recovery and they call almost daily, multiple times, even though I am not the person they are after.  They are using a new number but I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize as legitimate.  I do not owe any money, not even a mortgage or car loan.  I do not have any old debts.  I wish the Portfolio people a happy holiday along with painful hemorrhoids because that's what they are, PITAs.  

So sorry to hear your Mother is having such a difficult time.   : (
The pathetic Portfolio Recovery operators get a percentage of what ever money they can squeeze from whomever they are calling.  This is why the portfolio recovery representatives calling are so aggressive with their scare tactics and threats.

Received call from this number this afternoon. Did not answer; I never do when I don't recognize the area code. Based on what other people have said, I will assume that it is Portfolio Recovery as they have been harassing me for I dunno, at least a year. LEAVE ME ALONE.

Portfolio Recovery keeps calling my phone because the person who has the debt once at some point (who knows how long ago) the cell # I have. I must have 15 of these numbers in my contacts list as Telemarket calls, that way I just ignore the call.

I have no idea why I received a call from this phone.

beware!   a  call  from  this  number  is  a  debt  collection  scam ~ they  are  " Phishing "  for  info ~

give - them - nothing.

This guy's really have a long list of numbers, I can't believe how they are able to get so many different numbers.

This call is from a debt collector that supposedly buys old debts from companies and tries to get you to pay them.  They try to rile your nerves up by saying that someone has filed a complaint against you and you need to see about this matter as soon as possible.  Do not give these people any information because apparently they don't have any and will claim they're looking at someone else's file when you tell them that the situation they just described does not pertain to you.  I reported them to the FCC www.fcc.gov/complaints because they've been calling me with dead-air calls on the line.

They are debt collectors, but they don't do there job. They are looking for a Brenda R W----------, I am Brenda L. If they would just check intelus they would see they are calling the wrong person. When the search for people who owe, they only go by the first and last names. Like John Smith, do you know how many John Smiths there are in each state. Why don't they do their homework, and earn their pay!!!!! I did mine for this person they keep calling for. Intelus $1.95 found her address, phone #, DOB!!! DO YOUR JOB!!!!!!

This phone has been ranging all day........  not leaving a message on my voice mail. On my caller ID.they are calling from OH, Strongsville 440-638-5278 . They are very annoying !!!

no message left. if it is portfolio recovery they call my home almost daily from 8 am till 9:20 PM.  I have NO DEBT excellent credit and a FICO score over 800.  How can I take legal action against this group?

"Wendy" from Portfolio Recovery called about a debt from 2002 that is out of statue of limitations to collect on... can't sue me....not on my credit report....portfolio recovery, you wasted more $$ on calling me than you paid for the debt you are illegally trying to collect on... Sorry Wendy...happy new year and better luck next time.......
