Received a text stating my account was shut down for fraud and to call them at 440-782-7844. I'm not calling

I received a text 503310@vtext.com - saying , prepaidAccountLimitedDueToFraud - call 440-782-7844

It really annoys me when scamers send a text.

I got the same message this morning. Thx for the posts.
BTW, Google returned this on the search for the text's callback number:

My text msg says Achieve Card Alert, contact 440-782-7844.  Prepaid MC Starting w/530088 requires attention.  No clue what Achieve Card is, and have never used a Prepaid card.

same as all below... why is this not illegal ?  why can they not be prosecuted?

Got a text message at 8 this morning, from 206909@vtext.com saying "MasterCardPrepaidDebitCardAccountLimited.Call:4407827844"

No spaces or anything fun like that. I called and it only lasted for 3 seconds before it auto hung up on me.

I personally will be calling this number multiple times at 3am.    

Got a text at 6:53 am. that referenced Achieve Card and fraud then said call this number. So obnoxious -- I would love to help send these dirt bags to jail.

received a text saying my Bank of America debit card limited had a security Issue. I don't have a Bank of America Debit card.

I don't know of this bank nor do I have anything to do with any companies in Gainesville

I also receive a text to contact 4407827844 now (1st credit unionof gainesv).  I did not call back due to a lot of fraud.  I double check mycreditreport to see if my credit was pulled.

these people can be prosecuted if you're willing to get an attorney to do it basically all you're getting is nuisance calls from acall bot you would never be able to get anything out of them and you'd be mire annoyed at the end of it. It wouldn't be worth it jus.t ignore the text I set it up so that when i get a text from that thing my notification is silent

We received the exact same text.  We also do not bank at 1st Credit Union. Who should we report these POS's to?

This is an obvious scam. Register at National do not call registery.
It is illegal

received text message stating its from a 1st credit union and to contact them and then listed the phone number all crunched together without spaces between words.
