I received a text message from this number saying "Your latest entry into our contest has made you a winner! Go to http://bit.ly/IXeU1o to claim your iPad, enter code 9877 to qualify."

So I went to the website, and if you read all the fine print it's NOT a free iPad, you have to complete a TON of "trial offers or subscriptions" to get it, and shell out your credit card info. Totally a scam, ignore it.

Oh and I tried calling the number too, rang once, said that they had not set up their mailbox, then disconnected me. Who do they think we are, idiots? No thanks.

I got the same thing... said i was a winner and told me to go to the website and enter the code and claim your prize before 4/23/2012... the funny: today is 4/24/2012 and the text came in today lol... they are phishing for information don't do it...

On 4-24-12, received text from this number that read: "Your latest entry into our contest has made you a winner! Go to http//bit.ly/IXeU1 to claim your iPad, enter code 9877 to qualify. Claim before 4-23-12."  Whoever sent it wasn't very smart since it was a day late.  Of course, who'd ever fall for this sort of spam probably wouldn't be very bright, either.  Wish the stupid ones would just bother each other and not the rest of us!
