Got a call from 442-074-339171..bogus of course. Googled and got this site. Called my cell (on Alltel network) and of course left no message. SO glad I didn't answer after reading this site...
Wish there was a way to keep them from calling like that.

I just got one, too.  On Verizon.  How do you stop this?

I got a call from this # this morning. I get tons of unwanted solicicted calls even though I have registered with the do not call list.
Anyone know what to do?

I just received a phone call on my cell (ATT) from the following number:

They left no message.

Got same call from 442-074-339171 @ 11:00 AM Friday Feb. 22nd. I wonder if it is Verizon doing some promotional thing. My contract is up and I have not renewed. They call sometimes when people don't renew their contract. Is anyone else at the end of their contract?

I bet it was an automated calling system. They are preprogrammed to call various numbers for specific reasons and only if you pick up in time does the system connect you to a person.

i got the called and its about some company decreasing your APR. they start off by saying the call is from your credit card company but nothing is wrong. when you talk to someone they say that they got the numbers off a published list. I told them its illegal and they said no its not, which is crap. the number comes from UK but thats not where they are calling from. Thanks Intelius for selling my number!

Get a call from exact the same number 442-074-339171 and another call from 442-074-630962 said my auto insurance is expired. It made me feel very nervous and contacted my insurance company. The insurance company said my insurance is fine.

I answered a call from this number yesterday and it was a recording telling me it was my credit card company (didn't say which credit card co.), that they had information on lowering my % rate and to press 1 for more details.  I hung up.  It's probably an identity theft scam.

I have gotten many calls from 442-074-3391 but never answer.  It always leaves a reocrded voice mail about lowering my APR, but they are sure to mention there is nothing wrong with my credit card.
