Unknown who it is. They called me twice in a matter of 3 seconds. "062" is not a valid exchange. Go ahead and block them, they are spoofing . If you don't know where to get a good blocker do a search on a major shopping site and read reviews, I didn't have to spend more than $46 for the ability to block up to 8 area codes completely and 1200 individual numbers, now all my family members want one.

Caller ID said Maryland.  No message left. Nuisance call.

Everyone!!  Listen to what this person is telling you!  We aren't going to get rid of the bloodsucking scam calls any time soon.  Complaining on the Do Not Call List is a complete waste of time.  Buy one of the call blocking machines out there on the market.  I am sure that I have the same one that HiramX has.  It is called the Sentry Call Blocker.  Is EASY to set up and works like a wonder.  Some of the phones allow a few call blocking numbers but this one allows you to block up to 1200 individual numbers with other features.  It is great that there is a website like 800notes to let us know if the number is bad but bitchin and moaning on these sites doesn't block these calls.  There are other machines that work fine also but this is the one I chose.  Now that I have the machine I almost feel like picking up on these people and then when they mention their scam (if they don't hang up first) I would like to say what I feel and then block the number but the other thing to remember is that if you only pick up the phone your number will then be passed on to the "scammer network" letting them know that you did answer the phone.

Our solution is fairly simple. We just don't answer the phone if we don't recognize the number (displayed on the phone. Best invention ever)! If it's someone who really wants to get in touch with us they leave a message.
If I don't want to listen to the phone ring 4 times (before the machine picks up), I answer it, set it down, and walk away.

I got a call from this number yesterday. Caller ID read, "Name Unavailable." No message was left. Assuming it was a telemarketer so I am adding this exchange to my call blocker.

I don't know the identity of this caller, and didn't interact, but yesterday I did get a personal best with another telemarketer by keeping them (first the girl that called, then her supervisor, then his "floor manager" tied up for a total of 41:31.  Try it, it is quite enjoyable to waste their time for a change.  Always be polite in the conversation and ask inane questions like "what if...." and this depends upon what they are hocking.  Sound like you are interested but unsure of whether you need or want the product or service.  Never agree to anything but appear as if you are on the cusp of swallowing the hook.  Don't ever give out any credit card information or make an appointment.  Remember it is only a phone call and they contacted you with the intent to make money from you.  On the other side of the coin, at least you are talking to someone that is employed.  If the telemarketer is so good at his craft that you get the urge to comply with his needling, simply place your finger on the off button and push, don't even say good bye.  After all, think of the times you told a solicitor you weren't interested and were hung up on.

My call blocker won't even allow me to block it because it says it is an invalid #...ugh!

You can get a cordless phone that blocks any phone number even if it's invalid or spoofed.

Home security scammers.  Their "marketing department" -- a robocall that performs very poorly -- selects your number and talks to you through a very bad voice recognition system with canned answers.  If you're game and play along, you get a real person to try and sell you a "free" security system for which you "only" have to fork over $40/mo. for a 3 year contract, which they say is "industry standard."  The poor person selling this is doing it earnestly and has no clue that "Marketing" is annoying the hell out of people.  She said the company was called Core Services or Core Protection or Core something and that they're the 2nd largest in the country.  I called BS on her and she argued that they serve 2 million homes.  I think she actually believes that.  I told her I was in the industry and had never heard of her company and she seemed in disbelief.

Received 2 calls from this number today, the first around 4 pm, the second time around 415pm.  The first time, I answered the phone, saying, "Hello?"  No one said anything on the other end. I hung up after 8 seconds.  The second time, same thing.  I hung up after 10 seconds.  It sounded like they hung up on me on the 2nd call, like my "Hello?" wasn't promising enough.

I believe its a scammer because when I called back the number had no existencebut they called back and I andlswered and it was silent

These people have called me four times in the last two days.  I can't call them back to get on their no call list.
