- irritatedWho is calling me at my job from this number??? 443-345-4665 I live in anther part of the US for Maryland have not business ties to this area.
- Martin| 3 repliesThis number called me and said I had some kind of debt that i owed and formal action was going to be take. It was for a payday loan I took out 2-3 years ago. I called my attorney and told him what they said and he told me i had to take care of this, if not they had the right to have me served. Thank you for helping me get rid of this debt and for treating me like a person.

While what you say may be true in some states in which payday loans are still legal, you are not providing enough information to advise anyone besides *you* how to handle such calls.
That leaves open the (rather high probability) that your attorney doesn't exist, is incompetent, or else you are a shill or scammer and/or liar. Or that your "advise" should be followed in any particular fact situation or in any particular state.
In fact, given how little information is in your post, it should be IGNORED by everyone. - Slim replies to Martin| 1 reply>> This number called me and said I had some kind of debt that i owed and formal action was going to be take. <<
Telephone calls are not legally sufficient notification of debt.
If you DO owe money on that loan, contact the original debtholder.
Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process. - ANonieMouse replies to Slim>>> Telephone calls are not legally sufficient notification of debt. That's the problem -- we don't know what state the person posting is in, whether the caller is, in fact, an original debtholder, whether the caller is a process server, and what facts are known to the poster and, if he is real, the attorney.
So the parent post reporting the call is useless. At best, it might be marginally plausible under extraordinary circumstances. That's often a sign that it was made by a shill or a scammer, and a good indication that it should be ignored. - CWG40On another site this entry was made: He called as a license process server for the state of Florida but when I went to http://www.jud11.flcourts.org/ProcessServer.aspx?pid=390 His name was not listed on the website to be affiliated with Florida.
