Recording offering a business line of credit.  I pressed 1 to get a live person.  I got Don with Merchant Funding out of Tampa Florida.  I didn't want anything other than his name and location to post here

I fortunately was not in my residence when this call came in, but I use the Mac version of PhoneValet®  by  Parliant  (no longer available).   When any call comes in, the program displays the ID Info (usually absent for spam calls)  on screen.  Any caller without ID info is blocked with a variety of recorded messages spoken by digital voices from available English speaking countries as I see no reason to provide such anonymous interlopers with the sound of my voice.

Robocall wanted to give our business a loan for $65,000. Press 1 to be connected, or press 2 to be put on the do not call list.

It's laughable since our business (if we need a loan) gets loans for a minimum of $500,000.

These scammers have called on numerous occasions.  Their call was blocked, our phone did not ring and our office was not disturbed.
We have had the 443 area code blocked for over 6 months thanks to our Di**t**e call blocker.  No matter what phone number the scammer/telemarketer uses, if they call from the 443, they are BLOCKED.
For our business, we have found that blocking entire area codes works best for us.  We are a locally owned and a locally operated business here in S. California and we do not seek business in other states.  We have had the same business number for over 20 years and were besieged by telemarketer calls - until we got our call blocker.
These devices are inexpensive and they work.  When you block an entire area code, you potentially block 6,000,000 - 8,000,000 phone numbers.  Sweet!

At 9:48am, I received a robocall, male voice, offering me a line of credit up to $65,000. The number that called me came up as 443-438-1322. There was an option to press 2 to be removed from their call list, but since they have already called me, they are never going to remove me from their call list, because they are not using the Do Not Call registry in the first place.

    Siobhan,

This may be the most effective way to get off their list and the lists they re-distribute to other telemarketing criminals - If you pick-up and not leave a human voice 'electronic signature'...   Maybe better than just blocking, especially if you fill-up your blocked number list, assuming your telco doesn't provide an unlimited block list.
