    This is a scam collection company that will threaten you with legal action. They refused to provide any information about my account until I spoke to 3 people. They were trying to collect on an already paid off loan. They told me if I didn't fax them my paperwork somebody would serve me with papers at my house or work within 30 minutes. Of course no one showed up. There are tons of companies floating around like this. Many of them are affiliated with one another. If you have ever taken out a payday loan they will probably contact you. They use illegal scare tactics and are incredibly unprofessional. They will refuse to give you their address or location or sometimes even business name.  Please turn them into the FTC, BBB, your State Attorney General, and their State Attorney General. It is important to take prompt action when contacted with a company like this so the proper authorities can deal with them.

    Be "CAUTIONED" This company (or whoever they are?) looks like are making similar kind of calls to many people. I have been receiving calls from this number 443-478-4456, leaving an automated voice message saying, that one of my employee has two records of fraud linking back to their SSN. When I called back and asked questions who they are? the answer was, "we are The office of National Association of Lawyers of USA" after doing some research I came to know that any court or related department will never make phone calls for anything like that. They are complete fraud and harrassing people. Do Not respond to them in any sense.

    Keep getting these calls its on an old debt from 2007 which is past its statution of limitation LOL.  They can't do anything.  They threatened me with a failure to appear at court.  First off the courts aren't going to do anything because it's past it's limitation so they are barking up the wrong tree.  Second they have an old address I haven't lived at since 05.  Just report them for harassment.

    Heyheyhey
    I've gotten a bunch of these calls but they are for someone else (the automated voice says somebody else's name), so they must have the wrong number. I'm sure they are fraudulent too.

    On my voice mail, I received a call from this number 443-478-4456, leaving an automated voice message stating that this person has two records of fraud linking back to their SSN, left a  case# and phone# above to contact them.  Tired of the nonsense.

    They called and said the message was for Monica (so-so) and that she was gonna get summoned because she got caught with fraud and that they had her SS number.  They gave a number to call back.  At first, I was scared for Monica and was about to call back and say they go the wrong number, but, then, I realized what if it's a trick?  So, I looked up the number and found this site.  So glad I found this site.  It's so wrong what they do.

    Filling in for receptionist at lunch and got this call. Caller ID shows "Wireless Caller"  Spoofing. Recording with intimidating (they hope) black male voice asking for a "Tiffany Matthews" (I believe). Does not ID the company he is calling from, or give his name. There has not, nor has there ever been, an employee with that name here in the 10 yrs. I have worked here. Threatening to serve this "Tiffany" with papers at her work or home. (Make me laugh! You are going to be served with legal papers, no one calls and warns you in advance. Hilarious!!  But it also irratates the $*%# out of me, too. BOTTOM-FEEDERS trying to bully unsuspecting people into coughing up the money for old debts that are past the statute of limitations, most likely). Gave case number of something like TH14810???

    First, none of the call types below match. This is not a debtor, telemarketer or political. This borders on criminal. Threatening, harrasing.

    You know, I can take care of myself when these jerks call (which they do often). I ignore this, but the first time it was a bit frightening. But I think of the elderly who will be taken in by these scare tactics and it infuriates me. What will it take to stop this torture they must be doing to the elderly or confused.

    There must be many people who somehow give into these threats.  What can be done?

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    •is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    •refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    •asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    •exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

    •Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
    •Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
    •Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
    •Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
