Caller ID reads BCFA. Does not leave message. Linked to other numbers and is a phoney breast cancer fund raising scam.

Just said Annapolis on the caller I.D.

Called at 8:30am Saturday morning;  telemarketer

Annapolis was the name and 443-569-5830 was the number that appeared on the caller id.
The caller did not speak clearly at first and I asked him to taker my number off of their calling list. The caller proceeded to ask for my wife. I explained that we were not interested in anything that was being offered and that I wanted my number removed from the calling list. The caller again asked to speak to my wife and he explained that I was not who he was calling for. I told him that I did not give him permission to call me and that I wanted my number removed from the mailing list. He started to indicate that he was with some sort of breast cancer fundrasier. I explianed that I did not care who he was or who he was with but I wanted my number removed from thier calling list. The caller then explained that I did not know who he was and that I shouldn't speak that way to people. He then indicated that he was with the FBI and that I didn't know who I was talking to. I again told him that I didn't care who he was and that I wanted off of the calling list. He then said '[***] you' and hung up. I tried calling back the number that appeared on my caller id (443-569-5830) but therfe was a recording that indicated that it was some sort of breast cancer organization and that I wasn't calling within their regular business hours. I will certainly be calling the number back to report this!

Now this is the first time getting a call from this number (443-569-5830) but not the first time from this "company".  They call from all different numbers but never got one from Annapolis, MD before.  I called one of the other numbers and told them, through a recording to remove me from their call list.  Guess I need to call them back and specify to be removed from every call lust they have in every state.  They never come up on the caller ID other than the city and state they are calling from.  I am tired of them calling all the time.  If it was not for this page I would never know who all these scammers are.  Hope you all have luck getting them to stop calling.  Sometimes I even wonder why I wasted my time making sure my number was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry.  

Called 8AM. I asked if they are to wait until 9AM for such calls and she replied that they could call whatever time they wanted. I asked to be removed from the "breast cancer" call list. Have gotten calls that indicate BCFA on caller ID before. Answered today to complain about 8AM call. We will see if they remove my name from call list. I doubt they will.

Called at 8:50am.  I did not answer and they left no message.  Caller ID says Annapolis.  I've now blocked this number... Appreciate the good info on this site as I'm not up for verbal abuse first thing in the morning!

Call received a 7 pm.  I did not answer.  Caller ID said "Annapolis MD."

NOT a welcome call by any means.

My message was very warbled and couldn't even understand what he was saying.

Rude and said they don't have to comply with do not call list because charity.

Called at 8:40 am. BCFA on caller id. Assuming it's breast cancer fundraising based on other posts, but I thought even charities aren't allowed to solicit until 9am.

I spoke with the VP and she confirms the numbers listed are not for this charity.

We are working with the breast cancer fund, Naral pro choice along with the local authorities to find out who is behind this with hopes of prosecuting guilty parties through the state attorney.
I have also been contacted by media personal who wishes to remain anonymous until we have all the information from Verizon.

I have my phone line traced and have the local police working on the fraudulent, phone misuse, harnessing calls using the information provided by Verizon.

Oddly enough most of the fraudulent calls stopped the same day we had a trace put on the phone line in question it seems from the first batch of information provided that Verizon collection or someone they contract for collections might be the ones making the calls, Or at the least someone who has access or knowledge of the trace Verizon placed on the line.
This has not been proven just an opinion based on the information, phone calls starting and stopping right before and starting again the day the trace was removed from the line.

Got a call from this number this morning.  ID was BCFA.    The caller asked for a person who used to have this phone number and when told that "Dora" doesn't have this number any longer, jumped right into her spiel and wouldn't stop.  I interrupted her and told her that I want to be placed on the Do Not Call list and that I had been called before and requested the same.  She finally stopped and acknowledged my request.  I also called the number back and got a recording saying that if I wished to be placed on the Do Not Call list to press 1, but that it might take as long as 30 days to "process."  I'll bet it wouldn't take that long to process a donation.

received a call from this number at 8:47, the caller id read BCFA.  left no message.  Looked up the number on line and found that this is most likely a scam.  so tired of people trying to rip me off.  Glad I did not answer it.

Got a call from BCFA this morning using 443-569-5830. As usual, I don't answer these but wanted recent posters to know they are still calling.

Just got a call from these people (443-569-5830 BCFA on caller ID) a few minutes ago.  Didn't answer but always come to this site to get more information before I "black list" them on my call blocker.... best $40 I ever spent!!

Got a call from number 443-569-5830 BCFA on caller id on Sat 9:15an.  They call often.  We never pick up.  do-not-call registry is useless and i really think the government should either put our tax money to work or scrap this useless program.  They only way to stop telemarketers is to designate them as terror organizations.  By the way, the biggest culprit in these scans is the phone company.  They can stop it immediately if they wanted to.
