I received a call from someone claiming they are a Special Agent with the FDA investigative unit!

I did also, he was difficult to understand but said his name was Mike something and he was investigating a pharmaceutical company.  I see your post was only an hour ago and also from Maryland.  I assumed it was some kind of phone scam but I may return his call and report back

Got the same call.  Called the FDA in Silver Springs it's a scam.

Research it.  If they get you scared enough the next thing they tell you is you can avoid jail if you pay a fine which they want you to wire to them.

I returned a call to FDA Agent Mike Wallace (sp?) at this number.  A secretary answered the phone sounding official enough for the FDA and transferred me to Mr. Wallace.  He was impatient and evasive and the conversation ended abruptly when he threatened to contact "local" officials.  He didn't indicate whether I was a person of interest or a target of his investigation, etc but still I am not sure whether he is legitimate or not.  I am going to call the FDA and see if they can confirm or deny this is some kind of scam.  I will update accordingly.

Really, that's the scam?  they bank on you having done something shady and if they hit a nerve they press you for money?  That is truly awful and Awe-inspiring.  I am inclined to call him back and see if he goes there with me.  Maybe I can speak with his associate Dan Rather if he's not in.  Thanks for the info "me"

I just spoke to Special Agent Mike Wallace and told him to kiss my ass. This is definitely a Scam. do like i did a call his number every five minutes

I received a call from that number earlier today and they left a voice mail.  I called it back and when he asked for my name and number, I asked him for his identifying information so I could verify what agency he was calling from.  He said (and I quote) _UCK YOU and hung up.  I'm reporting this number  to the Maryland Attorney General's Office.

got a call from 443-602-9835, they wanted me to pay 2000 to settle a warrant for my arrest. i didnt pay, but called the local police and filled a report. They said that any federal agency would never call to settle the arrest warrant, they would just come and arrest you.

so its a fraud
