- HaleighThe same number came up on my caller ID, they've called twice, and everytime we pick up no one's on the other line.
- Kimthey called and when I answered, their machine said "good bye"
- Caller: unidentified
- Carolreal tired of running for the phone and no ones there
- Robinyes I received it to and it said simply goodbye so I called it back and it says thank you for calling public power, please hold for the next available agent! Weird!
- TimLady calling asking to speak to "someone in charge the the BGE electric bill". She started a script about changing my utility package and I said I wasn't interested in which she asked how I could not be interested in a program when I haven't heard the details. I already knew it was the bogus concept of MD Free Choice and eventually the truth came out in the phone call in which I promptly hung up on her for wasting my time.

- Jack| 1 replyIt is a sales call from Public Power, trying to change you from BGE or PEPCO with a claim of reduced electric costs. I haven't looked into the facts about the switch, but PEPCO was supposed to have sent information about the right to switch.
- Caller: Public Power
- Call type: Telemarketer
- this is crap! !2013 and this freaking company is still doing this!

- Jonathan InskeepSomeone listed as "unknown" on caller ID called from this number but did not leave a message. When I called back, I got a recorded message saying that my call was very important and to please stay on the line for the next available agent. Then classical music. I decided to wait and see what would happen. After listening to the music, interrupted by an occasional 'your call is very important...' another recorded message came on that just said goodbye. This was obviously a fraudulent call from who knows where. If anyone gets a call from this number and can identify the perpetrators, please let us all know, and report them to law enforcement.

- gs replies to JackAs a BG&E or Pepco customer you can select your supplier for which this may be one of many options - albeit an obnoxious one. If you look on your power bill you will see two charges - one for delivery and one for supply of electric. by selecting a new supplier you'll likely lower the rate but your billing and service remains the same with a simple notation on the bill of the supply source.
- annoying callAnnoying calls coming to me too. Certainly not a good way for any company to solicit for new customers.
