Shows number is avaliable  when doing a reverse lookup. It hails from Baltimore Maryland. More than likely a VoiP assigned number that was stolen then spoofed.  The number itself when called back is from Home Health house calls, and you hear the voice that tells you that you have reached them and says first of all that if you have a medical emergency to dial 911. Gives you a list of choices to reach specific departments. I didn't stick around long enough to do much more than find out what the thing was. Strangely, I have recieved many from Washington DC also with spoofed VOIP numbers as well, feeding the theory that it is a spoofed number. Quick crash course in spoofed numbers... A cellphone can say anything you want it to with a quick change of settings. You can create it to say unknown as well. Some spoofs that work are cellphones that have no service but use a voip and use as well as recieve calls from that number. When you call them back, it signifies to them that the line they called is active and in service. These numbers work off of data from call center voip lines, using specific numbers from a random call center data to call and offer services. Unless you can call from a cell that is identified as private number when other callers call in, or a landline that can do the same, I advise that you never call them back. If you don't know the number, do a reverse lookup. If that turns up nothing then report it instead of trying to sleuth it yourselves. :) Have a nice day!

Been receiving calls from 443-853-6898/ also they refer to call back # 866-686-2504. Stating United Health care/AARP House Call services. They ask to verfiy information, DO NOT GIVE ANY. Just ask for a call back ph#.
Cal the insurance number on your policy to verify the above numbers and they are providing this "house call service".

This IS a legitimate call and IS a legitimate service.  The company is AARP Medicare Complete which is a Medicare Advantage Plan underwritten by United Healthcare.  Those that are on medicare and have chosen a medicare advantage plan will get calls from this number, which is AARP when 1) they have selected AARP Medicare Complete as their medicare advantage plan or 2) the dates are between Oct 1 and Nov 7 of ANY year which is the open enrollment period for Medicare and it is LEGAL for ANY medicare advantage plan company to call ANY medicare recipient to offer their service.

I let this go to my answering machine and the message was left that it was United Healthcare House Calls. I called back and asked what it was about they said they would arrange for a health care worker to come to my home for a 45 minute health assessment. I did not give them any info and called my insurance company. My insurance company had no connection to this number and they made notes to send to their investigation dept.  I also notified my police dept.  They were aware of the scam but I was the first in our area they heard from.  THIS IS A SCAM.

Calling and bothering old, disabled people very early in the morning is not COOL.

These people have called me several times. They're state that they are trying to schedule a Wellness visit with my father and uncle.  I live about 700 miles, which made my radar bleeding. So without giving them any information,  I asked why they called me instead of them. The guy never addressed my question, but just kept asking me questions.  He ended up hanging up, when I asked for his supervisor and company address.

People beware! There's a skunk and a fish cooking in the same office! Don't eat their garbage.

Stop the harassing phone calls. I have told them more than once when I made the mistake to answer a number I did not know that they want me to have a physician or licensed practical nurse to do a wellness assessment. I have told them I am not interested and stop calling needless to say they continue with no respect to my request. Next step is to call Attorney General of my/your state to see if this will stop. My wife and I both registered our cell phones on the Do Not Call list and it has not really stopped the anonymous calls. I am sick of these fools getting our number for their use!!!!!!!!

I get at least 2-3 calls/day from this number with the same message "very important you call us back and schedule your appointment."  I have my wits about me.  Look what Obamacare is doing to everyone.  You don't get anything for free.  My condition is managed, my doctors are brilliant, why are they undermining my quality of care?  So, I wonder why they want to come into my house.  They do a physical exam, take a urine sample and record your "complete medical history."  I feel like my doctor provides them with everything they need to know to get their money and that's where my relationship with them ends.  I have NO desire to get personal and since their bottom line is money (I understand that under-managed chronic conditions become wildly expensive emergencies and HouseCalls would help in this limited group), I'm very skeptical as to the real motivation.  Do they want me in their home taking dictation, touching their bodies and taking their urine if I say it's free after all?  Seniors beware and you're all in my thoughts and prayers.

The number 443-853-6898 has been calling 4 times a day!! My husband and I are sick of the calls, along with other calls that are typically tel-a-marketors.. On our phone ID it says House Calls. What? I looked up the phone number on my computer and we are seeing that others are having this problem, and see that this is all a scam and want it to stop.. How can we block calls when all of our call Blocks are full. Any help will be appreciated...

I have been getting calls every day from this number and they never leave a message.

Calls every morning around 7:30 AM Central time.  Never leaves message.

Have received several calls from this number.  Answered it the first time; no one there.  Have not answered the other five or six times they have called.

This is a legitimate call from AARP health insurance regarding  their House Call Program.  If you want to take advantage the phone # is 866-686-2504.  I had a visit from one of their practitioners a year ago and they do a questionnaire on your health and offer suggestions if any areas need attention.

One more reason to get away from AARP.  

This number calls me every morning at 5:30 am! They call my cellphone and never leave a message. They wake me up. Very annoying

I receive calls on my cell phone from this number several times a week. I have registered my phone number on the Do Not Call list but this company/organization still calls. The caller does not post messages to my voice mail.

This has nothing to do with the Affordable Care Act that President Obama enacted to provide health care to your fellow Americans.  "Obamacare" is what those like yourself, ( who oppose extending basic decency and dignity to others) like to call it.  How ignorant.

sorry to have to thumbs down- but NO, they are NOT who they claim to be.  Not even a little bit. Just another out of the country Info Phishing Scam that have tagged themselves as being part of a legitimate organization

I have been receiving these annoying calls early in the morning.  Strangers are attempting to invade our privacy, saying that they are from AARP United Health Care.  The phone number for AARP is 800-711-6080, TTY 888-685-8480.    It is easy to figure out their motive, which is not aboveboard.  They have no genuine interest in our health.  The scammers are working over time and I will not permit them access to my  home.  They have called me from 866-686-2504 and 443-853-6898.
