I got a call from the same number. He was hard to make out. Had an east Indian accent, and said he is an officer. He said he feels bad for me if me or my attorney does not call him back. And not to cry to the situation. Lol. Pretty sure it is a scam artist.

Same as others. Got a call this morning with a recording saying either I or my lawyer should call back. Said he was an officer for CRA (?) and gave an Anglo sounding name, but had a distinct accent.  Said if I didn't call back, he wished me luck!

My Wife Just Had The Same Call This Morning And The Caller Said Not To Avoid This Call And To Call Back Asap Or I Be Sorry!! But Needless To Say I Never Called Back I Know It Is A Scam But What Can I Do Stop This Kind Of Calls?

Got this call twice, he doesn't say who he's calling for, so why would I call him... No way .. this IS A SCAM!

Could be looking for your identity to go along with your phone number. Neither give or hear anything by not answering in any way. The free way to combat these clowns is completely ignoring all unknown numbers.

CRA never ever calls this kind of call.

Indian accent. James Morrison. Same #. Do no ignore this call !  You or your attorney must call. If you do not call all as he could do was wish me good luck!

How can these call be stopped!

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated.

Same scammer [***]...in Canada call the Anti-Fraud Center at 888-495-8501 or their website to report http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/ did anyone actually talk to this clown?

I got the same all. East Indian accent with the name of officer James Morrison. Didn't say the organization, so obviously a scam.

Never heard of an east indian with an english name  ;). Maybe Abdule or Mahumad or Ahab he Arab or something like that, lol.

I tried calling. It is busy signal. The phone company that he is using is Distributel. Apparently I found a reverse look up. Maybe it's an office for the phone company, not sure. But it takes me to Beloeil, Qc.

Distibutel number, most likely an internet based number located somewhere in or around Beloeil, Quebec. Maybe this fellow follows these threads. My sister also recieved a call, different number, but the voice said they were from Canada Tax. Also a scam 613-704-2975. It was reported to the distributer of the phone.

How do you like that, Contacted the provider of the phone that is used.They won't do any follow ups on the number. So this means that Distributel thinks it's alright for anyone to partake in scams. Well their customer support isn't very thorough. No business from this fellow.

Got the same call TWICE this morning. In both cases the caller left a message on my answering machine. In both cases, the caller identified himself with a pronounced foreign accent as officer James Morrison, the message itself is the same as described in previous comments on this site. Interestingly though, "officer James Morrison" has a different voice and different foreign accent in "his" second message!! Credibility is everything!!!!!!

Received a recorded message from a one James Morrison (officer) . Twice around noon.  Had a heavy Accent. Same as others, Must call back or he wishes me luck in a situation "rapidly unfolding".
