Also got a missed call.  "Out of Area" displayed on caller ID

Answered the phone, no one replied. Said hello again, and they hung up.  I've been trying to help out my boss, who's older because he keeps getting calls at home from scammers and telemarketers.  In B-Law I wrote plenty of papers on the legal aspects of it, so I'm just waiting for someone to try something we can use in court.

Received call from 469-202-4153, only rang once then hung up.

Got a call wanting to speak to the owner regarding a business matter. They said they were from PTG from Dallas, TX. Called the number back and directed to a voice mail named David and to be removed leave the number that was called. Person who initially called was rude and really trying to get through the gate keeper. Avoid this call.

Called the number from my skype number. David a PPG in dallas said if I wanted my number removed to enter it.
Why would I provide confirmation to these idiots that I answer my phone?
And what is the real reason for you calling my number and hanging up after one ring?

Called my cell this afternoon, rang twice and hung up. My number used to belong to a roofing company, get these robot calls for business owner all the damn time.

Caller hung up when I answered.

I got this call 2x now in the last week.  The reason why I know this is because I remember reading the comments from this website last time I wrote down their phone number.  FCC I'm calling you out.  Why don't you spend some more time on scammers like this?  Yes, I've already written a complaint.  Yes, I've already tried getting put on a Do Not Call list.  Yes, it's still a problem.

The DNC does not possess a magic switch that can stop calls from bothersome/unwanted callers.  However, YOU do!

Yes, indeed - every modern phone (both landlines and cells) has a cunningly placed, magic switch that can cut off those nasty calls.  Here are some ways you can use it:

Technique #1, requires NO action on your part, automatically switches the call:
If you have Caller ID (CID), and see a number you do not recognize,  or know it belongs to a telespammer, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.  Instead, let the call go to your answering machine or voicemail.

Technique #2, for those people who MUST pick up the phone:
If you hear a telescammer, immediately hang up.  Activate that "magic" OFF switch manually!

But wait ... there is more!  If you pay attention for the next few minutes, you can get your very own AUTOMATIC switch that will block calls from those nasty folks.  That's right, it will block ALL calls from the numbers YOU designate, for only pennies a week!

And, here it is ... simply google "phone blocker".  You will soon see a list of phone blocking apps, devices, and telephones that provide the "magic switch" for which you were wishing!

Google "phone blocker" right now, and end your dependence on a misunderstood Government Do Not Call list.  Create YOUR OWN Do Not Call list, and rely on your own ability to identify those telescum who bother you.  Then, next time you get a repeated call from a telescammer, you can blame yourself for not blocking that number the first time it called.

You say you are not satisfied?  You want more for your money?  Well, for a limited time, you can google "call blocker" and see if there is any difference between that search and the one you used for "phone blocker".  All it costs is a few keypresses, and should keep you happily occupied for an indeterminate time, as you read about all the devices and apps you have been missing.

Advanced users of this magic switch should recognize the Federal Do Not Call list is effective only for legitimate telemarketers.  Telespammers ignore the list.  However, those telescum cannot ignore YOUR list, since you can block ANY incoming call with a simple button push!  Get your daily exercise by pressing that button.  Burn calories, strenghten your fingers!  Be more powerful than the Federal DNC list!

Tell your friends and neighbors about this "magic switch".  Share numbers.  Make more friends and influence people.  You too can be the life of the party line by blocking unwanted callers.  Empower YOURSELF!  Take control!

Got a call from this # only rang 3 times and I didn't answer. This is becoming really frustrating with all of these
increased calls from scam artists. DNC does not work like everything else in Washington.

Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone..  You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

I think it's a robo call checking to see if the number is connected. I just pickup hangup

Daily calls...sometimes two or three times a day.  Today they called themselves the "Patriot Group" and wanted to talk to the owner about our merchant processing.  I'm so sick of these calls and have told them we are NOT changing our merchant processor and to QUIT CALLING...and the very next day they'll call back again.

Called in asking to speak to the business owner, I replied "do you know their name", no i'm calling to speak to the business owner, I replied "if you don't know the name then you have no business calling here...goodbye!"

Called again, Caller ID says Celina, TX - when i answered there was no one there, then it clicked over which is indicative of a call center -  I just hung up
