Called several times. Left no message. Once picked up but no one said a word on the other end.

Got a call from "Lakendra" at this number on Mar 4, 2008. Identified herself with Citibank's "Unsecured underwriting" department. She couldn't provide me with an ID number of any kind. I called customer service to confirm, they verified that the number she gave me (866-533-5595) was legit, but was odd she didn't give me an ID number.
I called the 866 number (not the 469 one) and the person I talked to didn't know how to locate her. Lakendra said anyoone would be able to connect me with her. I'm waiting to see if she calls back. If so, I'll ask for her "Personnel Number." I was told that everyone in the company has either that, or a "General Number."  Then I'll ask for her direct line or something to reach her, because I'm going to confirm the personnel number she gives me with the customer support line 800-374-9700.

SUSPICIOUS: Sonia, claimed to be from City Financial Auto in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.  She requested employment information about a former employee.  When asked what info she was looking for she said hire date, job description, pay rate.  I told her I can't access that right now and asked her to send a fax form with consent.  She said that they didn't have one. I tolk her that we don't give out that information w/o a signed consent.  She asked for my supervisor-I told her I owned the company. She hung up.  I called the number from caller ID and got "This is an unassigned number".

I just called my CitiBank Auto rep that is finishing processing my auto loan...This number is in fact coming from CitiBank Auto...I am told that it is a line they use to verify home & work phone numbers from...

Five calls to my cell phone.  No message left.  Unable to return the call.  Kind of annoying

The representative called me to verify information but I forgot to mention something.  I can't call back nor can anyone track them down.  The phone number mentioned here is a 'blank' number and now I have to wait around by the phone until they call back.

Said it was CitiMortgage.  They had information about my client's case so I know it actually was CitiMortgage.

Got a call from this same number from Michelle from Citibank about my mortgage and asking for me to fax additional information for loan modification, tried calling and it would always go to voicemail.....
