Yes I just received this text wanting to send me a cashers check over the amount.  Asking me to take my "advert" down in order to avoid "disturbance."  Yeah right.  I was not born yesterday.  Only accept cash for Craig's list stuff.

I had the same experience.  Wanted me to remove ad and send him address that he could mail a cashiers check prior to picking up the product.   I was not comfortable with that.  Glad I checked out the phone #.

Also received a text from this number wanting to send me a cashiers check for over the amount posted on Craigslist. I told him he could use western union to send me the money if he was serious. He assured me his check was good and told me to send him my full name and address. I called him a piece of crap and told him to get a real job. That's the last I heard from him, for now anyway.

same bs as above,  cashiers check, when called texted me he was deaf, named "randy".  Scammer

Just received the same thing from someone named randy not gunna happen who would accept a cashiers check not born yesterday

Same thing as above. I almost fell for it. He wanted to make check for 40.00 over cost of desk and I pay movers the 40.00 when they came to pick up. I made a mistake and gave name and address. Then I texted him and informed him that he was to pay the movers himself and the 40.00 was for my inconvenience for removing ad. And that no one was to show up at my house until 24 hours after the check cleared. I would contact him after check cleared. I am worried that I gave him my address and name though. Haven't heard anything from him though since I told him my conditions. Guess he did not like my terms. I tell you what though I will answer my door with a gun if I don't know them.

Same deal as others have described, sounded weird so I googled the # and found this site. Whew!

Got the following text:  I am Randy ,I am interested in buying the  Antique Furniture - $250   I wll be  paying with a Certified Check sent in the mail via USPS ),I'll be responsible for the pick- up,Upon clearance of the check pick up will be made from your location. I will  also want you to remove the advert from craigslist for $40 to avoid disturbance. Thanks

i got the same..randy..same story too..i told him my name is chuck norris and i live at 123 i'll kick your [***] dr..2 black eyes PA,00000...for some reason he never got back to me...what a loser A=HOLE!!!!!

This is a scam artist. Also tried to get personal info from me. Beware

They did same to me I had them send me a check just so it cost them some money lol.

He "Don" did the same to my mom, she actually received the check but he wanted her to send the merchandise to a person named Randy. So he has her name/addy but she lives in an apartment complex and has his check. I told her to get the law involved. I hope she doesn't get anything else from him.
