Robo-caller.  Probably a debt collector.  Electronic voice saying "This call is for ***** *****.  If you are not **** *****.... etc etc.   I hung up as soon as I hear the electronic voice. I got no time to talk to computers.

Collection agency keeps calling with threats over a debt I know nothing about.  I told them to stop calling me but they refuse to stop the harassment.

Automated message on my answering machine. It was a wrong number, but it said it was for a specific person and that staying on the line confirmed the correct number. The problem is that I did not stay on the line, my answering machine did.

The caller asked for Greg Hoffman.  I was divorced from Greg Hoffman 30 years ago.  If he gave my number to a creditor, then he may have committed fraud.  I do not know his whereabouts nor do I have anything to do with any debts he may owe.

this guy called me and said I had an unpaid debt. he gave me a company that said I owed and I had never heard of them. the guy caught me at a very bad time, so I started to argue with him, he gave me his fax # and a case # and hung up on me. that pissed me off and I called him back. he answered the phone with "what" which once again pissed me off. he then proceeded to give me a different case # and I asked him the difference? he wouldn't explain. I asked for his address and he asked why and I said so I could call the police and report him, he laughed and said to who the phone police and would not give me the address. i  called his phone for the next 10 minutes over and over, he answered the first two times then let it go to voicemail. i didn't get any calls from this [***] today, but tomorrow i will blow up his phone again till he cries uncle sambo. dumb [***] scammer. he will get your info and sell it.

S/O called me from this number on my house phone and my cellphone for my father-in-law who has been deceased for years. He has never lived with me and I'm in another state. How they tied or dug up all my numbers in connection with him and my stepmother-in-law whom I wasn't fairly close with especially after all these years. Haven't been to see them before he passed since 2001. Gotta be a bill collector. But he didn't collect today and won't. I believe my stepmother-in-law died a few ago too.. lost touch. The gentleman never said who he was or what it was in reference to.. Oh well... it came up on caller ID as Commercial Records

Sounds like a debt collector. The lingo doesn't follow the traditional debt collection verbiage so, this maybe about something else.

This guy, named Klyde or Clive Ackles, called me today wanting me to pay $500-1000 for a car I signed over about a year ago to Toyota. Now I start asking the questions and he starts listing events with the car. apparently sold on some date and how i still owe. Maybe.... but it didn't sound legit. Just sounded like he was reading public records. He said he'd send me an email of an invoice but didn't receive it. This guy was an illiterate fool, no way he'd work for a debt collection service. I'll wait for another call and mess with him, this has happened to me once before and I made the threats and they stopped calling. I said I'd report them if i got another call. This is the number he gave me if I wanted to call back. 8889784910

Suspect "robo-call" I did not answer received at 2:17 CDT on 1 Dec 2014.  Did leave a voice mail for a "Kenneth" and to have his attorney to contact a Mr. Ackles about an imperative business matter that's in his office and to call 888-978-4910 ext: 2003 and referred to file # 4819597.  
I will assume that it was a debt collection.

Received voice message on my cellphone from a Mr.Akles. He said it was imperative I call, or my attorney call him right away regarding a legal matter in his office...Lol. Sorry to say I didn't & won't be returning his call. Could be debt collector!? But im gonna go with my gut, & im thinking not!
