I just got to work today with a note left on the desk from my boss that John called from Crime investigations, I tried to call the number back and it said the Magic Jack customer is not available, What crime investigation office do you know of that uses Magic Jack.  These people are trying to scam people, the company they say I owe money too I have never heard of.

I certainly will file charges against this caller.  ( Indian, or Middle East Nationality)
He makes scary threats, like criminal investigation, talks about the bring the SS # out of
the country. Absolutly something the FBI will follow up on.

CALL the police, the FBI, whoever you can. DO NOT PAY THEM!

Same caller also uses 719-900-6607.  Said he was from State Investigation Dept.  I asked which state and was told "all of them."  I asked for a mailing address for the business and he said they do not have a mailing address.  I then asked ok, what address are you currently at while making this phone call?  He repeated he didn't have a mailing address and hung up.  

It's a total scam.

Same with me, said i owed a online pay-day loan and has my social. He could tell my irritation and hung up on me. How did this information get out there like this? And how do I report this and make sure i have control of my SSN. Seems like they are trying to steal identitys. He asked if i wanted to deal with this payment inside or outside of court... Pay Day Loans etc.. i owe too. I dont think so... please someone let me know what i can do to report this? do i call the credit agencies, Experion etc. let me know and thanks!

I got the same call at work.  I asked him if he had looked up how many years he could get in prison for making such a call.  I got home tonight and the same number was on my caller id but he started to leave a message and stopped - maybe he realized I was the one who mentioned prison to him!  Also, Indian or Pakistani - heavy accent.  Caller id said Dallas, TX but when I got a call from him last week at work he said he was from New Mexico, and I don't have caller id at work that identifies location.
