Claims to be with auto loan network. They tell me I'm approved and ask what I'd like to buy. He has a very heavy middle eastern accent. I replied "I don't want to buy [***] from you" to which he replies "your mom [***]" and hangs up. They'll take your identity if you let them.

Middle eastern autoloader scam, Clais you applied and are approved, needs your info (phishing) I happen to be within a city block from where they call, some old building where they setup a call center with 7 or 8 bearded, long robe wearing guys. I told him no, he cursed me out so I told him I knew who he was he got quiet and said he would perform oral favors if I didn't call the police... yeah... right..

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
