Called early afternoon 10/5/15, Monday.  3 pmish.

SILENCE when I picked up.  Probably a Robo Call to see if Number viable.

I blocked it.  We will see if they find another way through.

Silence when I picked up. Tried to call back and the line is also busy.

Caller ID said SERVICE.  I know no one in that area code so did not answer.  They left no message.  The scammers seem to have a new batch of numbers to call from, at least it looks that way for me.

Yes, I believe they do have a new batch of numbers to call from.  I have gotten messages with the same voice leaving the exact same message word for word coming from different phone numbers and ID names.  They just don't give up.  This number showed up on my caller ID at 4:19 pm as UNKNOWN NAME.  This person left no message.  I always turn the volume on my phone off at night so that they won't wake me up in the morning, then turn it on later in the day and check my caller ID and messages.  They have stopped calling in the mornings, but now have started calling in the afternoon.  I don't bother answering.

What "same voice" and "same message", and who are "they" please? No one here has described the call or its purpose. Most comments thus far, mine included, indicate a high rate of abandonment whether a human or machine responds.

My call on 05 October came with a carrier default CNAM, "Lewisville TX". Their predictive dialer found my recorder greeting and jumped off eight seconds later.

I have put my number on the do not call list yet I continue to receive calls. I tried to call number back. Busy. I added to my Auto Reject list..very annoying that I get these calls at all.

Do not call list has NOTHING to do with scam callers!!  They only can stop legal telemarketers!!!   Stop blaming them for scam callers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Not Call List is useless.

Its a scam call. Scammers don't care about the Do Not Call list. All they want is your personal info, especially your credit cards. Hence the fake numbers and automated calls and hidden identities.

Be smart. NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE

it is an illegal robo call try to sale a prescription drug card. It takes a little for the recorded message to start. It is a landline
The call comes either from 527 S. Kealy Avenue or next to it in Lewisvile, TX. More than likely it is a scam.

Complete scam trying to fish credit card and other data. Criminal operation, not even a pseudo legitimate telemarketer.

Got a call from this number. Didn't recognize area code on caller ID. Name was listed as "Service"? Called number back and got busy signal. Blocked number forever in my CPR Call Blocker:)

Robo call (caller ID said "Service") recording giving away a  free prescription card for up to 75% off prescription medications. However, what they are really selling is a medical alert device.

They use pre-paid phone cards as a tool for their dirty work.  They buy 'em buy the caseloads, and that is why all this is going on.  Pre-paid phone card abuse here.  These are for the immigrant communities, who use them to phone and wire money to their families back home.  They should not be used in any improper way, such as telemarketing and scamming.
