I would like to know if this number is legitimate. I contacted this number through a Trulia Trrealestate rental website listing. I have only communicated via text messages.

Definitely a scam. I'm texting about the same property and when I called them out on it potentially being a scam they threatened to find and kill me. Wouldn't communicate with these people any longer.

ALERT - Rental Scams on Zillow, Trulia, Hotpads, Postlets - SCAM WARNING

If you found this posting by using a search for a phone number, you are likely dealing with a scammer.

Scammers are using 469-726-9355 or 214-2477-6973 (SCAMMERS) or email gmy81@yahoo.com to created dozens of rental listings all across the United States. If you did send the money, please contact Bolingbrook Police Department  at 630-226-8610 and refer to police report/reference # IR#14-7310

- They create these fraudulent (fake) rental listings on Postlets.com
- Photos are stolen from either homes that are currently for sale, or previously for sale, with photos of the entire that show the property as vacant.
- From there, the fake listing is placed on Postlets.com and it is syndicated to dozens of other rental websites. ( Zillow.com, Trulia.com, Hotpads.com and more )

- The rent is EXTREMELY CHEAP compared to similarly priced homes for the area.  ( Too good to be true )

- You write or call them to inquire about the property.
- They reply with any number of reasons for not being in the city where the property is located ( out of town on business, out of the country on a Missionary trip, or some other God Fearing adventure )

- The ultimate goal is for YOU to sent the SCAMMER money for a Security deposit VIA Western Union, in exchange for them to commit to them leasing the property to you, and they will FED-EX you the keys.

The scammer using (469)726-6355  and 214-247-6973 has ads all over the USA scamming people out of hard earned money.  As soon as the scammer collects the money from Western Union, the money is GONE FOREVER, no chance to recover, ever. (never)

Do not give money to ANYONE that you can't see the whites of their eyes.  You will see a lot of these scams, and that is because they work some of the time.
