I live in California and my cell phone number is 471-3200. If you live in the same area code as me and you attempt to call the people that are using the caller ID number of 471-320-0100, you will end up calling me because your phone thinks that you are calling a local number. It took about 15 people calling me to finally figure out how this was happening. I WISH I knew who these people were and why they are using this fake number as their caller ID. I haven't found anybody that has actually talked to them yet. They are all call backs. PLEASE if anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Check out Caller ID spoofing on the internet and see what they're doing out there. It will freak you out. Pretty scary stuff. It could be your number next.
This number has been calling my house for the past week and I finally answered it today. They said they were calling from TMobile and that I had a free cell phone waiting for me,I hung up the phone...I'm thinkin that they are some part of a scam
I got several calls from this number over the weekend but never answered it, until today. It is some telemarker for Direct TV. They ask for some bogus name and then confirm the number they dialed. When you say yes it is your number they roll into a script trying to sell you saying you have been selected to get a special package.
I spoke to Direct TV and they do not direct solicit, so they said this must be a retailer that is doing this. The only way we can stop them is to get as much information about the company as possible and turn them in to Direct TV. If you can get a REAL call back number or a retailer name, Direct TV will pull their contract and stop them. So, if anyone out there gets a call from this number, call me at 805-471-3200 and I will give info to Direct TV or call them yourself at 1-888-355-7530. They said that this is their installation department and has direct access to all their retailers and can look them up quickly. Let's band together to STOP these frauds. Thanks for your help.
This number 471-320-0100 has been calling my cell phone for the last two weeks, at least 1 to 2 times every day. This area code (471) DOES NOT EXIST!!!!! Which means this is probably a telemarketer that is SPOOFING their Caller ID, which BTW is ILLEGAL.
Maybe you can check your Sprint bill and see what phone number shows up on your bill. If it shows the REAL number calling Yahoo! If it shows the (471) number, call Sprint and see what they can do by internal records with your date and time information. If the phone number doesn't exist, how can they charge you for the calls anyway. Please let me know. You all know how to call me if you are in the 805 area code.
Received two more calls from 471-320-0100 this afternoon. No message left in my voicemail the first time, the second time no answer when I picked up.
My cell carrier is SprintPCS...their response to me when I called them was that they could not do anything about calls such as this. They said my only option was for Sprint to give me a new phone number. My problem is that I have spent money and time giving out my new number over the last couple of weeks and to do it again......I don't want to think about it. :) I am also waiting to see if SprintPCS charges me minutes for receiving calls such as this.
I have received calls from this number everyday for a few weeks now. I do not answer numbers that I do not recognize. There never is a message left either. What's the deal? I called the number and it is not a working number. Doing research on this number lead me to this site. Too many unhappy people!!
Same thing... I get several calls a day from this phone number, but there's not anyone there when you anser. If you call the number back, the recording says that it's a disconnected number, but then I get another call later on.
The company calling me from this number is called Black Well Duct Cleaning in Toronto, Ontario Canada. There website indicated the local (416) phone number has been disconnected ???
