I keep getting annoying calls from this number. I never answer the call unless I know the number, but so far, it seems strange because this area code 471 does not exist. These people should be arrested for spoofing their number!

Well, here we go again.  After a month of silence, it has started again.  Got 2 calls today from people wanting to know why I called them.  Apparently this company is starting up again in the 805 area code.  I have an idea!!!  If anybody has the ability to check their cell phone bill, it might give you the correct number that called.  Worth a shot.  If not, make the cell phone company justify the REAL phone number that called you.  Maybe they can research it from your bill printout.  Verizon will give you every phone number that calls you when you check your statement online.  Please help me.  I get to answer my cell phone on the defensive now.  Remember as posted earlier, we think that they are selling Direct TV and Direct TV will shut them down if we can find out who they are.

Phone #471-320-0100 started showing up on my caller i.d. after I subscribed to an AT&T service that blocked calls appearing with "Unknown Name/Unknown Number". Calls cannot be returned to the number. Area codes 470/471 are not assigned in the North America master area code assignment list. After some research, determined that 471 is an exchange in the Dearborn/Flint area. Area codes 313 and 810 overlaid the exchange. It is possible that the actual number is 471-3200 with a predictive dialer.  Someone said that the number is a Verizon number - but I also doubt that AT&T checks annoying calls originating outside the state where the calls are reported.

I too am in the 805 AC and have been logging the date/time of these calls to compare to my bill when it next comes. I ignore the call but resent them burning up my minutes calling me during business hours. If I locate a REAL number on my bill I will report to FCC, Verizon & post my findings back here. I'm all for working together to shut these creeps down!

They are calling my home phone. So it won't cost me anything to answer it, right? Next time they call I'll answer, or have hubby answer (he works for the phone company here) and we'll let you(iv) know what we come up with. It's ridiculous that people can get away with this crap.

Recieved a few calls from this number at weird times of the day (2 and 3 am)

Am also recieving calls from a spoofed (668) number. Could it be from the same person?

Well I reviewed my Verizon bill for the actual phone number - apparently since I never answered the phone none of the calls are reflected on my bill. Guess I'll have to answer once just to get the charge put on. I'll do so & be back next month to report my findings.

Ta Da. The phone rang a 6.00 sharp, today, and after 3 + weeks of calling, I got it.. This clown say's he from Guardian Security Solutions. And wanted me to switch alarm co. I told him no. and would not switch. then he asked If I would like to donate to some fund.  ( yea right ) .

I have been getting a call from this number 3 times a day for the last month! Today I answered and heard someone on the other line but no one said anything! This is sooo frustrating! I have Verizon and they said the only thing they could do is change my number (which I have had for 5 years, so no way). I filed a complaint with the FTC, but I can't belive how many people out there from all over the country are being harrassed by the same number. Is there noone who can intervene and find this person?

Same story. They call my home phone/fax # (land line-AT&T provider), so there are no charges but it is so annoying. I have an unlisted phone # (There is an AT&T charge for this!) and am on the "Do Not Call" list. They call at least twice a day and leave no message. "Unknown name 471.320.0100" shows up on my caller ID and my fax machine prints out a call log every 35 calls, which prints that number if the caller is silent but stays on the line for three seconds or longer. I'ts been going on since Nov.6— I'm in the 805 area code.  Sure would like to know what's up.

I'm back again - after answering the call (I did not speak to them, I just wanted to see if I could 'trap' the real number they're calling from), I waited for my next Verizon bill. I found the date/time on my bill & the bill reports the same area code & phone number. The only thing revealed was in the Origination column, Los Angeles CA. Well that narrows it down. I guess since I'm not charged when I don't answer I'll just continue to do that &  hope they give up on me. In response to Rachel, if your question isn't rhetorical, I asked my buddy who works for a State (CA) police agency about law enforcement intervention - his reply - "What, we're going to go after someone for telemarketing?". So if FCC won't do anytime we're SOL. :-{

Received call from this "unknown call" on my phone. Since I don't answer calls from people I do not know, I have no idea what they wanted. I searched for area code 471 which does not exist.

Just started getting calls from this number on my cell today.  I'm w/ Verizon and live in 913 area code.  I didn't answer the call.

just a lot of calls on my caller id from this number--no message.

I get hammered about twice daily with this number. As posted above they never leave a message and I never have answered it. Has anyone found an answer to this riddle yet?

We have received several calls from this number and two today. I haven't been there to receive them. My caller id shows 0114713200100. I thought it was a friend of ours from Germany, but if it is a European call, then it is from Norway. It seems we all have to not ever answer the phone unless we know who it is. What a pain!

They're still at it over at my house. They are calling my home phone not my cell. At first I didn't answer but now on my quest to catch them, they aren't calling when I'm home.
I am a bit nervous since I have a crazy neighbor lady that I used to allow to use my phone. I have since stopped that practice because she was getting on my nerves. But I digress. I wonder if somehow she gave my number out.

Got the call on my cell...they tried my house phone too.  I don't answer calls I don't know.  Looked 'em up on the net and here is your info!  Thanks!  Thank God I didn't answer.  I hate phone spam.
