WHITEPAPER SCAM SPAM CRAP!!!!!!

He called asking for our CEO named Eric, when I told him there has never been a CEO named Eric, he hung up. He knew the company name however.

Said they worked for Tableau, they had my email address and contact information

They called here.  I picked up and screamed "Don't call here again" and slammed the phone as hard as I could.  I will see what happens

They called, started blabbing about something, I hung up.

These guys called two different companies saying they were us.  Talked about a white paper and also asked to speak with the head of marketing.  Full on phone bombing until someone answered.  Then they would hang up.  Makes absolutely no sense.  What's the upside?

Someone called and introduced themselves as IBM partner company, asking if they can email me some information about IBM. After a few questions I asked, they admitted that they are calling from IT World Canada, and they tried to get my consent to email me some information about IBM. While on the phone, I Googled them, to find that they are an on-line technology publication. I believe the call was recorder, and they were trying to get my consent for emailing me their content. Emailing without consent is illegal in Canada.
They phoned 7 times in two weeks and did not give up until I answered. Needles to say, I did not give them consent.

Said they were IBM, but they were really from IT World Canada.  Went ahead and said IT World Canada and IBM were the same...Do not forward the call.
