- Vicki| 1 replyReceive calls weekly from this number. They claim they offer lower interest rates on your credit cards. The first time that I stayed on the line to wait to speak to a representative, I requested that they remove my name from the calling list. The person told me it would cost $700!!! The second time I received the same call and made the same request, the 'gentleman' simply hung up.
- BonnieThey called twice, I just press ignore...not worth my time to answer unknown numbers
- Caller: Unknkwn

- Bartholomew Johnston| 2 repliesGot a call from a male with an South Asian accent (East Indian). He talked loudly with a sense of urgency. He told my son to go to my computer immediately and then he will advise him where to go (online). My 14 year old son recognized that this might be a scam and hung up. This same male with the accent called back 3 more times but with call blocking indicating private number. The second of these calls which i (parent) answered told me that someone was stealing my information from my computer and that i needed to go to my computer right away. The third call he started yelling. this disturbed me and i called the police and filed a complaint. The police also told me to spray " Hindu B Gone" on my monitor and wipe with a lint free cloth and all will be well.
- Gerald replies to Bartholomew Johnston| 1 replyWow the same number spoofed from Georgia (according to the name on the call display) is offering not one but two scams for the price of one. You can choose to have your credit card dinged for $500 for nothing in the "We can lower your credit card interest" scam or you can try the "we're from Windows there's something wrong with your computer" scam where they put malware on your computer for free. Is there anyone left on earth who hasn't heard these old chestnuts by now? Give them points for unoriginality and they really might try to make a do not call registry of their own instead of phoning the same numbers over and over and getting the same result which according to Einstein is the definition of insanity or maybe stupidity at the very least.
A word to the wise neither Microsoft nor any third party will phone you saying there is something wrong with your computer, nor will any credit card company lower your interest rates because some Pakistani asks them to. If you want to try and lower the rates call your credit card company yourself. That is the only way it will happen, but don't hold your breath, and they won't charge you anything for asking. - BonnieThis number called me five times, I keep pressing ignore, then they call back and show unavailable instead of their number..totally [***]

- GBCalled today, not the 1st time. I simply don't answer the phone to any number I don't recognize. The other day some one left a message saying I'd won 5.5million dollars AND a mercedes sports car to be delivered that same day. WOW .... lucky me. That's a number that charges you $20. to call them back to hear the scam in person.
- AEPI answered this call and it was a message to reduce credit card debt and to press 1 to get a lower interest rate. I did because I wanted to speak to a live person to get the calls to stop. I got music and then they hung up and when I recalled the number it was no longer inservice.
By answering/ pressing the #1 will they be able to access by phone and make along distance phone charges?- Caller: credit card company but no name given
- franklift the receiver , don't speak and hang up.
- PaternoLeft message on my voice mail to call. Credit Card telemarketer to reduce interest. Said it was a final call. I hope it is so that I won't be bothered anymore. I also wondered if their other phone number is 478-271-5693. The number was also calling me last April 17.
