did anybody get calls from this number? very annoying..rings 2 times and then stops..when you call back, some automatic message asks for a pin number...what the hell is this?

Did receive a call at 9:48PM on Sunday (Father's Day). No one talks. When re-dialled, prompts for PIN !!!

Just got a call from this number. I answered on the 2nd ring. No one was there, just silence.

These idiots have called me 3 times today. 1st 2 times when I answered there was no one there. The 3rd time, after a delay of about 3-4 seconds, some idiot got on the line in broken english asking for a Steven. I am not Steven. There is no Steven. I've had the number for several months, and have not magically turned into Steven. I told the guy to go have sexual intercourse (PG version) with himself and to stop calling me.

my wife called me from this number, she is visting canada and used a phone card to call my cell phone. hope this help solve the mystry.

Its some Indian telemarketing company who have called about 20 times.  Rude, begging people if you ask me.

I got this call as well, called back only to have an automated voice ask for a pin # just like the others here. Anyone happen to remember what they were doing just before the call? Any info would be helpful thank you.

Be careful everybody with this type of phone calls, specially from this number, my sister got a call in Mexico a life threat call, when she call to let us know the same number appear in our caller ID, strange right? I did call back to the number and got same results, to key a pin #, I did call the phone co. and also the police, this type of calls are "scams" that is been going on from Mexico/USA and viceversa. The police is going to investigate and have a full report of the incident.

This is a number used by the collection office by CITI mastercard. They are masking their number so you won't know who's calling.

Just got a call from this number too.  No one there when I answered.  Called it back and was asked for my pin number. F@#%ing prick woke me up at 7AM on a Sunday morning.  I filed a report with the police department and will be contacting the Attorney General first thing Monday morning.

I too received a call from this same number at 10pm on a Sunday evening, when I called back they asked for a pin number. Go figure!

This # is associated with an ongoing payday loan scam located in india...(look up 202 629 9693 for more info ) they will call say they are with a loan company and u will go to jail if you do not pay this loan ....I have been dealing with this for 2 mos now DO NOT give them info or verify any info plz contact ur local DA, the FBI secret service and homeland security for any1 that is thinking this is real plz read this before you give any info     What a debt collector CANNOT do:

  * Use deceptive practices. For example, threaten you with arrest or  trick you into paying for collection calls.
  * Use obscene language.
  * Call you at work after you tell them that your boss does not approve these calls.
  * Deny you the right to receive a written notice (within five days after your first phone conversation) that would tell you how much you owe and the name of the creditor that says you owe the money. If you do not receive the notice within five days, call the collection agency and ask for its address and fax number. Then, send a letter to the collector noting its failure to send you the required notice. As a minimum, make a note in your file.
  * Refuse to give its name and the name of the collection company when asked.
  * Put a debt on your credit report if you file a dispute. It must validate the debt by obtaining a verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment from the creditor before continuing their collection efforts. The results of the investigation must be mailed to you.

same as most people here reported:  a couple of rings, then when i call back an automated system asks for a PIN. After reading the previous posts, my guess - the racist who blamed India is wrong, the anti-industrialist that blamed Citibank is wrong, the concerned but off-topic Julie is, well, off-topic. This may be an attempt to get PIN numbers. When you call back, they get information about your identity - phone number as a start. If you key in one of your PIN nunbers, they then have your PIN to "something". Putting together your personal information with your PIN (or multiple pins if you tried more than 1), they have much better odds of accessing your accounts.

Received this call to our company, called back and got the recording on the 1st ring, then in Spanish.
