Caller did not identify himself, asked for owner of company by first name, stating that he had information concerning activity on an account that they would want to know about.
Questioned caller, claimed it was about merchant account, impossible!
Never tried to validate call, just continued to recall company & harassed receptionists.

They call here every month or so. It's merchant services trying to get you to switch companies for your credit card machine. They are very pushy. I'm blocking them from our phone. :) Gotta love call rejection!

CALLS FROM 480-295-4699 is a message which starts out "WILL BE SUSPENDED"

When I call the number is says "WELCOME TO MERCHANT SERVICES"

I guess this is a credit card vending machine company.  I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD VENDING MACHINE!  No one answers during office hours.  Calls go  to voice mails.

After hours you can reach tech support, but they couldn't find my phone # anywhere.

Typical boiler room call with some drone wanting to set up an appointment "to congratulate our business making it into 2010 in spite of the recession".  Just a cold-call scam to set an appointment with a credit card merchant account salesman.  Reporting to www.donotcall.gov/

Just called the number that these jerks have been calling from to ask to be taken off of their call list, which I know for a fact is standard protocol if you do not want to be called any longer by a telemarketing company...ALSO I am on the nat'l do-not call list....the guy I got was SO rude (suprise)....and when I explained the above he says, "OK, so what's the number that were SUPPOSODELY calling you at?!" WHAT? "SUPPOSODELY"? That's when I got RUDE....I said, "Your rude attitude is ONE of the MANY reasons that I moved back South from the Phoenix area (that's where they are, and I'm sorry but a lot of people ARE very rude out there).........but here's my phone-number, Oh and BTW Have FUN in the failing Phoenix economy! Take-Care!"......JERKS! LOL........... :)

These people call monthly to congratulate our company on being such wonderful credit card merchants and as a reward they are going to reduce our processing fees.  Then they want to send out a representative who will "only" take 15 minutes of my time.  (Read salesperson who wants to take over our credit card processing business and SHOW me how we will save $$.)  This is such an annoyance.  I've told them in no uncertain terms that I do not want further calls and will not take 15 minutes of my time for them.  If what they tell us was legitimate, and there truly was a greater discount for our volume of business, I'm sure my currect processor would pass that on.

This guy calls every week about credit card processing services. Fed up with them, one time I did tell him to send somebody to talk to... but nobody came from their office. And his calls have not stoped.

Have had numerous calls to the business asking for the owner. Wasn't able to give a call back number as they were just stepping out and didn't know when they would be back.
Said they were calling from Paradigm Direct.
Another one for the 'calls blocked' feature for me!

I recommend that EVERYONE stay far away from this company.

They keep calling me (despite my asking each time to be removed from their marketing list and to not call me again) trying to convince me to meet with "my merchant service account rep Amanda".  Mind you, I don't have an account with them so I don't see how I could already have an account rep with their firm.  secondly, they claim to be able to provide better rates than interchange, which is just not possible.  As any small business (or large business) knows, there is no negotiating the rates with visa, MC, Amex, and Discover.  I suspect that they are trying to get people to switch providers, lock them into an expensive, and non-cancelable equipment lease.  (Usually a multi-year lease for $100 - $150/month for equipment that would cost you $250- $300 to buy outright).  This is a typical scam run on small businesses. You sign an equipment lease, see almost no change in your merchant processing fees, and are now stuck with an expensive equipment contract.  When you call and tell them you are actually paying more for credit card processing than you were, and that you want to cancel the lease they tell you that they don't handle your equipment lease.  (They sell your contract to a third firm right after you sign it, and that firm will RUIN your credit if you try to break the lease or stop paying your contracted amount).

The pathetic girl that called me was being coached on what to say (not so subtly) by a gentleman in the background.  I'd hear him say the first few words of a rebuttal, and then she'd start the same rebuttal he said but finish it out.  For example, I'd say something like....

"I'm not sure why you keep calling me when I've told you not to and to remove me from your marketing list."

You'd hear the guy say something like, "You've been qualified..."
And she would immediately start in with "You've been qualified for special non-retail credit card processing rates because of your exceptional business."

He coached her on like 6 or 7 things to say, most of which made no sense.  They are obviously sales tactics.  their only goal is to get a live body to your store so they can give you the hard sell on why you'd be foolish not to switch merchant providers.

Again, just trying to warn my fellow small business owners.  Best of luck!

I really don't understand why this isn't considered fraud, or at the very least a deceptive trade practice.  Anyway, you've been warned!  It is now, and always has been "Buyer Beware!"

Same experience as Chris, but I had Amanda come out to try and save me money.  Glad I did.  Not that I signed up to save money, but Amanda is HOT!!!!!  Very nice young girl, short skirt, high heels, very pleasant to look at.  Sales pitch is a waste of time, but 45 minutes with Amanda was worthwhile.

I am an account manager at a company that handles crdit card transactions. I admit that for the most part sales man are a nuesance and they wasy what they need to to make as much money as fast as they can. Before I started doing what I am doing right now i was in Restaurant Management so inknow where you guys are coming from. And knowing what it was like is one of the reasons i started doing it. We are not all the same. just like Mecanics there are a few of us out there that are honest and really are looking out for the customers. i dont just call ransomly and i dont congradulate on the credit sales of a company and try to use that as a way to get business because it is a lie and the only way i would know how much they did in credit cards would be if the company they are already using told me. i do offer free equipment to new clients if they give me their business at my own cost because i have the choice of how much to sell them for and the ones that cost me nothing are always free despite the fact i can mark it up as i high as i can. I personally call the current companies and negotiate the canelation of the lease and depending on the deal i work out with the company i occasionaly pay for the lease to be canceled. I dont call and I dont go to random businesses. Every business i go to i research, what type of business, where its at, customer opinons and everything else i can and i go in a few times before even mentioning the possibility of them giving me their business. But when i do i have a very specific offer already worked out that i made to give them the best offer up front. Im not worried about the bonuses we get and i will take a lose in the beginning because i want to keep their business not just get it. I go in all the time to check on things. One of my incentives is unique. I ask my vlients to come up with some kind of deal or coupon or something of the sort for me to offer it to my other clients. so once a month each of my clients gets a package of deals, information and anything else from my other busineses. Everyone likes free things and everyone like free marketing. and thats what it is. Im local so i give very personal customer survice. know all of my clients names as well as most of their employees,  i give christmass cards that usually have gift cards, Birthday presents, i take the time to see what the current trends in the area and i tell them they can call me for anything and ill do whatever i can to make them successful.Every single thing i do is going to always benifit a possible new client, repay them for their service, or think them for the continued business. If i was dishonest i could easily make 15000 more a year because the more i get you to spend the better my bonuses...So yes people, dont buy into what most of the salesman becayse alot of it is lies, everyone give a guarantee that they have the lowest everything and off cash if they cant make u a better deal. And if they really card they wouldnt call they would show up like i do with an offer just for them ready as soon as they want it. I walk in tell them who i am and what i do and leave it at that. and i make sure i am a customer to everywhere i currently have and everyone i am trying to get......i have never lost a customer to another company and i think it is because of the treatment i give them. so with that being said dont judge all ofus cause the negativity is makeing my job so much harder.lol. but i do understand.........lol, and now i could turn this into a sales pitch and give u my contact information cause i can sell anywhere in the country but i mainly only do local so i can check in. i do wish everyones business the best of luck and hopefully u will find one of the rare sales people that really focuss on your success because despite how great they make their offer remember that actions speak louder than words andatleast research the company before u ever seriously even consider changing companies or if you are a nw business before you ever decide who you want to use in the beginning

It is Paradigm Direct and they are a scam. They will offer you reduced rates, but if you do not read the contract carefully you will be committed to a  5-year irrevocable lease through MBF leasing, a known scam company (just google them and read all the bad reviews) and will end up paying thousands of dollars for a $350.00 piece of equipment. Stay far away from this company!
